About this listen
Discovering Delilah is a Lesbian romance (#LGBT).
After the death of her parents on the day of her college graduation, Delilah Armstrong thought she could finally follow her heart and come out to her closest friends, but the guilt of going against her parents' beliefs haunts her. The feelings she has for her best friend, Ashley, are stronger than anything she's felt before, but Delilah has never even kissed a girl, and fear stops her at every turn.
Ashley Carver promised herself that she would never again date another girl who wasn't out, but that was before she met intoxicatingly sweet and sexy Delilah.
When another girl offers to teach Delilah the ropes, it changes Delilah's whole world and gives her the courage to go after the only girl she really wants. But coming out isn't as easy as Delilah imagined, and moving past her parents' death and the feelings of guilt she is left with is even harder. The intense passion between Ashley and Delilah is too strong to deny, but coming together means risking everything.
Discovering Delilah is an edgy, evocative, romantic story of friendship, family, and the courage to love.
Coming soon is the full Harborside Nights series:

Lovely!
I really loved this book. Good rhythm. Flows naturally. Although could sound repetitive, Delilah experiences feelings like most of the lgbtq community. I was happy of the outcome. I will listening again. I hope to read more similar books.

A great listen, a good story..
I enjoyed the book thoroughly, it was a nice love story, without the enivitable long hashed out break up/get back together story stick we are beaten with..

A pleasant listen at least
It was my first FF romance, and I didn’t know what to expect. I ended up with a out/not out couple. Nothing original, but it worked. Especially thanks to a few interesting elements.
First of all, the introduction of another woman who isn’t exactly the Other Woman, but help Delilah in her discovery of her sexuality. Of course, it brings some tension in the main couple once they get together, but she was an interesting character with a unique character goal. That she becomes a supporter of Delilah and Ashley together was a bonus.
The fact that internalized homophobia was the source of the main conflict for this couple was also quite compelling. In the context of Harborside and its community, where there’s a lot of acceptance, having Delilah still be afraid to show her attraction to the same sex created so much tension! And that her internalized phobia came from her parents who are now dead and to whom she can’t talk made Delilah even more interesting.
I wasn’t happy with how bisexuals were associated with cheating, commitment-phobia, and promiscuity. Most of the bisexuals in the story–and there are a few–can’t be satisfied with being only with one person, because they need the other sex. Ridiculous. That is not how bisexuality works. If it had been only one character, I’d be okay with that depiction, because it’s an existing fear. But all of them? Nope.
Misunderstandings between generations were also an interesting idea developped in the story.
Narration was particularly good. I loved how both narrators emulated the other’s voice. Very nicely done. They knew how to bring the sexyness as well as the deeper emotions. A pleasant listen at least.
