Summary
David Nbeke returns as a Captain in the General Service Unit (GSU), the paramilitary wing of the Kenyan Police. Terrorist activity is on the rise, and the newly formed Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ) hide in the deserts of neighbouring Somalia. Enter Agent Clarissa May, whose international investigation has uncovered evidence of a plot to blow up the American Embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salam.
Using a handful of trusted officers, and with Commander Tanui’s help, David and Clarissa team up to search for the terrorists in a frantic race to prevent the bombings. Since Caitlyn’s death, at the hands of Maliki, David hasn’t allowed anyone to get close to him, but against his better judgement he becomes emotionally involved. A professional lapse that may cost him dearly!

I enjoyed the narration of Pat Devon
David Nbeke is the Captain in the General Service Unit (GSU), which is the paramilitary wing of the Kenyan Police. He is has to fight the newly formed Egyptian Islamic Jihad , who are hiding in Somalia. He is not working alone. Agent Clarissa May, who has a plot to blow up the American Embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salam.

Excellent audiobook!
As a dedicated audiobook listener who relishes thrilling stories, this one delivered in spades. The return of David Nbeke as a Captain in Kenya's paramilitary police sets the stage for a gripping plot with rising terrorist activity and a looming threat to American Embassies. The synergy between David and Agent Clarissa May makes for a compelling partnership, but it's the emotional undercurrent in David's character that truly adds depth. The professional and personal stakes are high, and I was hooked from start to finish, waiting with bated breath to see how the race against time would unfold. A must-listen for fans of action-packed, emotionally charged thrillers.
