About this listen
An unabridged reading of this classic novelisation of a 1968 TV adventure featuring the Second Doctor, as played on screen by Patrick Troughton.
For 40 years the Yeti had been quiet, a collector's item in a museum. Then, without warning, it awoke and savagely murdered. At about the same time, patches of mist began to appear in Central London. People who lingered in the mist were found dead, their faces smothered in cobwebs. The cobweb seeped down, penetrating the Underground System. Slowly it spread....
When the Doctor, Jamie and Victoria arrive, they find not just one Yeti but hordes, roaming the misty streets and cobwebbed tunnels, killing everyone in their path. London has been gripped tight in a Web of Fear....

Great performance from David Troughton!
Entertaining, fast paced story. An absolutely amazing performance by David Troughton, with a completely authentic portrayal of his father and the rest of the Tardis crew. Great stuff. Highly recommended.

Beware the Web !!
Another great audio book from the original Target adaptations of the classic era of Dr Who and you don't get more classic than Web of Fear! brilliantly read by Patrick Troughtons's son David who as you might imagine captures his dads characterisation spot on as well as all the other players in what I consider one of the better novelisation's by Terrance Dicks. Atmospheric and really captures the creepy dark dank feeling of being trapped underground with lumbering monsters around every bend of the tunnels. 5 stars

Excellent story excellent production
I always loved this book as a child, the narrator is excellent and the extra sound effects really enhance the experience.

perfect
Nicely read gives you follow the story well. Evokes the series perfectly. Wish more of the books were done this way.
