I had to stop listening

The books sounds very American but when they discuss money it is in Euros and time is referred to as 18 o'clock (for eg), instead of 1800hrs or 6pm. The story is wooden and slow and I'm not sure what it is actually trying to be. The voice of the narrator is incredibly annoying and makes Lisa sound like a whining drag.
I just couldn't listen to it any more.
