Disappointing series

I did not like this series - several parts of the storyline are stilted and dry and I have stopped listening half way through this book, which is something I rarely do. I was not impressed with book 1 but continued to book 2,hoping that the characters and story would improve. Sadly I was disappointed.

Continues to get better.

This book continues to build on book 1 and bring the story along. It is a very good fantacey, I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book. I now will add Mr Anderrson to my must read authors. If you like the description of this book you must listen to book 1 first.

Enjoyable listen

Have you listened to any of Derek Perkins’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Only heard him in Dragonvein Book one - he was pretty good in both but I found his American accents not quite up to his other characters.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this and book one but thought that book three was going to be the end of the series. Now I realise there are others to come so will probably stop here. Bit fed up with fantasy writers who seem to think that endless series are a good idea.

fantastic story

I love the time travel aspect in the story. The narrator has a stady voice.( not much variation for the characters)

Another romp through fantasy

This is an easy listen , which flows naturally from Book 1. I'm on to book 3 as the characters are solid a d understandable.

Only thing is, you can tell which one the author is! Ha!
