About this listen
Dreaming Big helps listeners define their life dream and experience an entirely new level of natural energy.
Co-authored by Bobb Biehl and Paul Swets, Dreaming Big describes a life dream as a crystal clear vision of the difference the listener wants to make in the future - a vision so compelling that it energizes for a lifetime.
Not everyone has a big dream. Many don't know how to clear away the fog and confusion in their lives. Some are afraid to dream for fear their dreams will not come true. Others become content with mediocrity. Consequently, their work suffers. They go about their responsibilities without vision, without enthusiasm and without an eagerness to solve problems, without hope.
Dreaming Big understands where listeners are and helps them grow past the barriers that hold them back. It takes them on a 31-day personal growth journey. Each of the five weeks focuses on practical strategies that motivate positive change.
- Discovering your dream
- Refining your dream
- Living your dream
- Teaching your team to dream
- Encouraging your team
Biehl and Swets help the listener to excel, to live on the edge of their potential, to be the best person they can be. Helen Keller's quote summarizes the theme of Dreaming Big: "One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar."

Cheesy self help book! Not for me, maybe for some
If you like cheesy American self help books, filled with positivity and read like a film-trailer, this is for you. Just look at the book cover. It's not my style, but each to his/her own.
Although it's not my style, it did make me think about my future plans and ambitions, and motivated me to crack on with them. Job done, in that sense. But it's a long book, and only needed to be an hour in length for me.
Also worth noting is that the authors mention God a lot. Again, not for me.
