Summary

Run and hide, or stay and die....

When a hit-and-run accident leaves eight-year-old Lee Sanders in critical condition, DI Freya Bloom and DS Ben Savage arrive on the scene in rural Lincolnshire. But the investigation they thought would be simple, soon develops into something far more sinister. The driver of the car is found in a nearby ditch, and she didn't die of natural causes.

Poppy Gray, a nineteen-year-old girl with a bright future ahead of her, had only one known friend, a troubled boy who rarely speaks. Leading a simple life, Poppy had been filled with the joys of spring. But she knew something. A secret so terrible that somebody would go to great lengths to keep her quiet.

Whose secret was so terrible that Poppy deserved to die? How many more people will suffer? Only one thing is clear—the killer is planning their end game.

Set in the wild Lincolnshire fens, this murder mystery is laced with humor, peppered with romance, and is bound with a twist you will not see coming.

Dying to Tell is the suspenseful fifth book in the Wild Fens Murder Mystery series by USA Today best-selling author Jack Cartwright. Ideal for fans of JM Dalgliesh, LJ Ross, JD Kirk, Joy Ellis, and Rachel McClean.

Another excellent book in the series.

I love these original stories. They are told with great warmth and humour and narrated so well. I can't wait for the next installment of the "Gold Blend" couple saga.

Suspense all the way!

Brilliant storyline. Edge of the seat suspense, I think this is the third Jack Cartwright I have listened to certainly won’t be the last!

Unlikeable main character

Sorry -can’t listen to anymore. I really wanted to like this series but Freya Bloom has become too unbearable and unreal.

Another great storyline

I’m loving this book series and I am finding the characters are really growing on me. When I started book 1 I wasn’t sure I would take to Freya Bloom but I was wrong. I have had some real laugh out loud moments too which I love,

Liking this series very much

This listen has a good mix of humour and intrigue and a good addition to the series. I’ve
marked it down a star as I thought conclusion of the investigation was a little farcical. Still a great listen though. Now on to number six.

Just silly in the end.

I don’t believe for a second two adult police officers would behave like this. Shame actually as I am loving the main plot lines.

Got silly.

I was enjoying this series but the storyline between the two main characters has become silly. Insulting and damaging to the police force. I won’t bother to read more. I need a new sensible less ‘teenage giggle’ series to get into. Sorry Jack, story line generally good but just extras are off putting.
