Summary

Water, water, everywhere.

Leon Alcantara and Maximilian Drake have barely caught their breath after saving the city from an untimely fate. Now the Jade Spider has a new assignment. A local magical plant shop has requested a strange elixir, the liquid essence of purest water.

In pursuit of the ocean potion, Max stumbles upon a tormentor from his past. Leon faces the challenge of hosting a second dragon, a legend much closer to home. And the mysterious Masques are more watchful than ever, shadowing the boys at every turn.

But strangest of all is a fresh spate of elemental anomalies in Dos Lunas. Life or death, sink or swim, Leon and Max must rise to the challenge — or drown under a tide of wicked magic.

Another grand adventure!

Leon and Max are off on another heist, sorry 'quest' lol.
It sounds like a simple errand - acquire an ocean potion - but there is nothing simple when they have a run in with a rival hunter, the machinations of family (from Jade too), and just getting the job done. l am enjoying their evolving relationship and their individual growth, though Leon can be a bit reckless. Overall, another interesting addition to the series.
The narration kept me engaged, John Solo has a good range of voices, expressive tones and a great cadence. Yep, looking forward to the next book 🙂

I already can’t wait for the next one!

Again, John Solo has smashed the narration of this one out of the park!

I absolutely loved Leon and Max in Book 1 and I still love them in this one. New contracts, new adventures and all their chemistry in between - what’s not to love?

And my goodness, a new person to dislike.. Devina sure is a great comedy villain in this instalment!

Absolutely loved it!
