Summary

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Cassidy Hutchinson’s desk was mere steps from the most controversial president in recent American history. Now, she provides a riveting account of her extraordinary experiences as an idealistic young woman thrust into the middle of a national crisis, where she risked everything to tell the truth about some of the most powerful people in Washington.

Ever since a childhood visit to Washington, DC, Cassidy Hutchinson aspired to serve her country in government. Raised in a working-class family with a military background, she was the first in her immediate family to graduate from college. Despite having no ties to Washington, Hutchinson landed a vital position at the center of the Trump White House.

Her life took a dramatic turn on January 6th, 2021, when, at twenty-four, she found herself in one of the most extraordinary and unprecedented calamities in modern political history.

Hutchinson was faced with a choice between loyalty to the Trump administration or loyalty to the country by revealing what she saw and heard in the attempt to overthrow a democratic election. She bravely came forward to become the pivotal witness in the House January 6 investigations, as her testimony transfixed and stunned the nation. In her memoir, Hutchinson reveals the struggle between the pressures she confronted to toe the party line and the demands of the oath she swore to defend American democracy.

Enough reaches far beyond the typical insider political account. It’s the saga of a woman whose fierce determination helped her overcome childhood challenges to get her dream job, only to face a crisis of conscience—one that more senior White House aides tried to evade—and, in the process, find her voice and herself. This is a portrait of how the courage of one person can change the course of history.

Incredible, honest and Enthralling

Without a doubt Cassidy Hutchinson is a brave young woman and a modern unsung hero, without whom the Toddler in chief would stand a much better chance of evading responsibility. Her book is enthralling, and by the end, you feel such empathy for her and the difficult positions she found herself in. a must read for fans of US politics and lovers of the truth.

A warrior at heart

A genuine, sympathetic account which transcends the bs in many political bios. If you want to fact check trump-world criticism of Cassidey, this might not be the place to start, but if you want to understand her part in The Madness, there’s no place better. Thanks Ms H. I wish you an equally profound and much less testing future.

So brave. An example to us all

We love you Cass. Your courage and strength are a shining light to a world which cries out for sincere leadership. Your character eclipses the meek who fall under the spell of an autocratic narcissist. You have a place in my heart for what you have done. I wish you well. X

AMAZING

A great insight but also a human depiction of a difficult to understand situation Ms Hutchison found herself in. A remarkable tale of the prominence of soneone so young but with such a mature and morally candid review of her recollection of events. I listened with vigour and am glad she was fortunate to have come across some remarkable people who reset her moral compass and be the best version of herself and break the Trump trance.

A great listen, filling in the gaps of a story we watched unfold …

I enjoyed this book, there have been an unprecedented number of books around the Whitehouse since the selfish bully resided there; this felt refreshingly personal and honest. I wish Cassidy and George an enjoyable life, and look forward to the movie 🙃

An important account of the Trump insurrection

A fascinating account of a young woman working very hard in politics in the Trump White House. But Jan 6th proves a major turning point. Summoned by the Jan6 Committee, she initially tells only a small part of the story, under direction from a team Trump lawyer. Then, realising she must tell all, she finds another lawyer and becomes a star witness. I couldn't put this book down.
