Summary

Alice’s stories of Wonderland did more than raise a few eyebrows - it landed her in an asylum. Now at 15 years of age, she’s willing to do anything to leave, which includes agreeing to an experimental procedure. When Alice decides at the last minute not to go through with it, she escapes with the White Rabbit to Wonderland and trades one mad house for another: The court of the Queen of Hearts. Only this time, she is under orders to take out the Queen. When love, scandal, and intrigue begin to muddle her mission, Alice finds herself on the wrong side of the chopping block.

Absolutely, Utterly, Fantastically, Wonderful

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

So I actually finished this book a couple of weeks ago but I have been trying to find the right words for the review. I hadn't heard of the book before but when I saw it on audiobook boom I just had to read / listen to it. And it was just AMAZING.
From start to finish, the characters were conveyed wonderfully and exactly how they were in the original stories.

It started a tiny bit cosy, even though a murder was mentioned. But after the first couple of chapters, well it just got better and better and better.
Alice was perfect, Ralph was perfect and the Queen of Hearts, well she was just flawless.

The story offers a glimpse of what is happening in Alice's "real" world, and its not all sweetness and light. And when she goes back to Wonderland, and becomes one of the Queens maids... well its actually not as bad as it could be.

I don't want to say anymore because I don't want to include spoilers. But what I can say is, if you don't read this book, you will be missing one of the best books I've read in, well, I can't remember how long. It is just absolutely superb.

amazing

It was a good mature aftermath to the childhood classic. it was intising and nostalgic.
