About this listen
The plane crash nearly ended Lynda’s life. Was it an accident or sabotage? Lynda Barrett, a young lawyer, hates to sell her plane, but she can no longer afford to keep it. Enter Jake Stevens: wealthy, arrogant, and interested in buying Lynda’s beloved Piper. Together, he and Lynda embark on a test flight that ends in disaster - hurling them into a terrifying sequence of events.
One thing becomes clear: Someone is out to get Lynda - someone who will not be satisfied until she is dead.
This riveting novel takes the listener on a suspense-filled flight into a world where the dark side of human nature meets with a higher power...where love finds root in the midst of hatred’s savagery...and where terrifying and uncontrollable circumstances become the unlikely catalysts for forgiveness and faith.
Evidence of Mercy is book one in the Sun Coast Chronicles by award-winning author Terri Blackstock. From absorbing legal drama to lightning-paced action, the Sun Coast Chronicles offers suspense at its finest, tempered with remarkable realism and penetrating insights into the human heart.

Excellent
I've never read or listened to anything from Terri Blackstock before, but stumbled across her name while doing a search for more Christian authors. I decided to give the above a go...I'm very glad I did. I've read/listened to quite a few writers of Christian fiction but if I were to be honest some can be a little syrupy for my tastes or if the stories are good then they're let down by the narrators. I particularly enjoyed the more realistic approach to walking the path of a Jesus/God centred life and the real struggles in terms of faith and commitment some Christians face. Some books in the same genre have a tendency to overuse Christian stereotypes which can get a tad boring. Terri Blackstock takes the reader on a convincing journey while keeping the characters real and relatable
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that not only were the characters believable and the story captivating, the narrator was very good and her dicton clear. I liked the fact that she didn't overdo the male voices as some narrators do when they're speaking the part of a member of the opposite sex.
Overall this is an intriguing story, characters that really draw you in and trigger many reactions. It's fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat and swiftly puts the reader in the place of wondering when the main characters are going to join the dots up. When the plot completely unfolds its a high adrenaline rush and a race against time before the antagonist is revealed amidst a climax of will they won't they. I will be buying more of her audiobooks in the future.
