Summary
Calder Seton is an unapologetic manwhore. Former Texas Ranger turned private security agent for Elite, he’s an expert at keeping his heart to himself. His employer wishes he’d do the same for his body. Calder has a habit of sleeping with Elite’s clients and they’ve told him to keep it in his pants or find a new job. That’s fine with Calder. He has a new playmate anyway, virginal actor Robby Shaw.
Robby Shaw spent most of his life sheltered from the world until he lands a role in an LA kid’s show and becomes the fake boyfriend of A-list actor, Elijah Dunne. When that relationship ends in humiliation and heartache, Robby meltdowns epically, landing him in county lockup and on the radar of Calder Seton, who he hasn’t seen in over a month.
A sizzling hookup leaves both Robby and Calder questioning their life choices, and when Robby’s life is threatened, Calder doesn’t hesitate to step in, free of charge. Unfortunately, Robby hires Elite before he can volunteer, putting himself on Calder’s list of untouchables until they can solve a murder.
The rules of Romancelandia state only a virgin can tame a manwhore, but both Robby and Calder have a pile of baggage and everything from a cult to anonymous killers standing in their way. Can they find a way to heal from their pasts so they can have a future?
Exasperating is the third book in the Elite Protection Services Series and contains age-gap, high-heat romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers.
Warning: This book references past childhood abuse.

Loved it
This narrator’s performance was absolutely fantastic. I could listen to his voice all day long - he did a wonderful job bringing the Robby and Calder to life.
This is definitely one of my favourite books. Robby and Calder were beautiful together.

Fascinating!
Story: This series is packed full of really amazingly well developed characters and Robby is definitely a great example too! I loved his background and how the character's development was carried out through the story!
Calder was an awesome MC as well and was a perfect juxtposition! The plot itself kept me fascinated from the beginning. A very well executed book!
Narration: MCs' characteristics were matched with great voices! Spot on performance!

Hot
I enjoyed getting Robbie's story. The appearances from old favorite characters struck a good balance, just enough to be fun without taking away from Robbie and his HEA. It was interesting to see Robbie maintain a healthy relationship with his faith, in light of his past. Some of the situations and themes got very intense. Overall, an engaging read.

An interesting and unexpected romance
This story started off in a really strange place, but Robby and Calder grew on me as their adventure continued. I wasn't quite sure what to make of Robby initially, but as I learned more and more about his background some of his quirks started to make sense to me. To call him innocent is a significant understatement, and it was thrilling to see him experience pleasure for the first time under Calder's firm hands. Calder himself appeared to be such a playboy initially, but underneath the posturing was a wonderfully sweet, devoted man. There was something so lovely about the way Calder treated Robby--like he really was an angel sent down to bless his life--that had me swooning left and right as the two of them fell in love. Of course, this wouldn't be an Elite Protection Services novel without some intense, life-threatening action chasing these men. Robby's past was particularly creepy, and I found the mystery surrounding it captivating. Calder was also hiding some devastating secrets from his past, and I just have to say that finding out what happened to his family was a game-changer for how I interpreted his actions moving forward. As Calder and Robby grew closer together, I found myself incredibly emotionally invested in their happiness. The narrator for this audio made me feel like I was in the story with these men, and as danger started circling closer and closer to the two of them I was really afraid to see how everything would play out. Though Robby and Calder almost ripped my heart out with their attempt at heroics, I was relieved to see the two of them make a new life for themselves and put their pasts behind them for good.

A great age gap, hurt/comfort story
**4.5**
Wow, this book definitely starts with a punch. So much happens in the first 20% - an arrest, intimacy, murder! This is a very intense story, especially for Robby. Occasionally we get a glimpse at his childhood which was hard and abusive until he managed to escape for Hollywood. His recent actions are all going against him though. Calder finds himself quickly falling for the young man regardless of the walls he put up around his heart years ago after suffering hurt and loss.
Robby's character breaks Calder, and my, heart. He has such a low self image/worth and feels invisible to the world around him.
There is a really interesting plot to the story alongside the relationship developing between the two men. It goes along with Robby's history with his family and the religion/cult that they are a part of and the goings on with that in recent years. Calder's past also comes into play as he looks into it but Robby takes the strong role and offers his care and support to help the other man move forward. I really enjoyed the romance that develops between such different men. It seemed really natural, though there were some helpful nudges from their friends.
I love this series. There are hard hitting emotions, strong bonds formed with friendships and lovers and there are a great group of people involved right from the start. Past characters, especially Wyatt, Linc and Charlie, step up and are there through the really hard times for Robby which means so much to him considering he feels so alone.
Definitely another recommended read from this author. You're drawn in right from the start and gripped right through the story with the characters and the drama.
Liam has done great work narrating this series and brings the story to life for Robbie and Calder in this third book of the series. Robbie comes across as innocently as expected but I wasn't too sure on Calder's though it didn't stop me from enjoying the story.

Loved It
Having met Calder in the previous books I wasn’t holding much hope on him settling down . The minute he met Robbie he seemed to change but sweet Robbie was overwhelmed at his attention even though he wanted Calder .

Just as good as Intoxicating and Captivating
Boy is this whole series great! I loved the ebook version of Exasperating and knew with Liam DiCosimo’s vocal talent (judging by the first two books in the series) the characters of both Robby and Calder were really going to come to life. And I was not disappointed.
Robby is such a sweet character. He has had a hard childhood and doesn’t feel worthy. But his innate sweetness is the thing that draws Calder (who gets about a bit - if you know what I mean!). But then we see that it’s so much more than that which then draws them together.
We have lots going on - involving both Robby and Calder’s pasts. We also have some past characters helping - and this also helps to show Robby that he is worthy.
As I said the narrators voice really brings the story to life and kept me just as hooked as I was in my first read through of the ebook.

I Loved This Story As An Audiobook
Exasperating is the third book in the Elite Protection Services series. It can be read as a standalone, but characters from the other two books make an appearance. This was my second time reading the book, but the first time experiencing it as an audiobook. I enjoyed the book, but absolutely loved this story as an audiobook. Liam DiCosimo really brought the story to life and his performance was wonderful -- he had just the right emotions and energy for each scene without making the performance over the top or flat. I really enjoyed the intense attraction and romance that brewed between Calder and Robby. They were extremely interesting characters who had both vulnerabilities and hidden strengths. Plus, the sex was fricking hot. Overall, this was a great audiobook and really worth listening to.

4.5* of listening pleasure
For you enjoy this book you need to have read/listened to the others in the series. There is a lot mentioned within the story is set in LA, Hollywood, religious cults, human trafficking, grief, trust and self-esteem issues oh and a murder.
Robbie a semi famous actor finds himself adrift and when he runs into trouble he is put with Calder by his friends at Elite, the one man who seems to truly see him. Although there is a lot going on in the story it is written in such a way that it flows very well it may not be my favourite one but this is a very enjoyable book. I am looking forward to Connolly’s story next or maybe it will be Webster’s turn.
