Summary
Le livre d'Ezéchiel relate la vie et le ministère de ce prophète. Dès qu'il a reçu son appel et sa mission de "sentinelle" pour la communauté d'Israël (ch. 1-3), il commence à prêcher et à transmettre la vérité divine. Il annonce ainsi le siège et la destruction de Jérusalem (ch. 4-24), soulignant que cette dévastation représentera le jugement de Dieu pour l'idolâtrie du peuple. Ezéchiel appelle ses compatriotes à renoncer à leur mauvaise conduite. Dans la partie suivante, il parle aux nations voisines et affirme que Dieu les jugera, elles aussi, pour leurs péchés (ch. 25-32). Le livre se termine par un message d'espérance où il proclame la fidélité de l'Eternel et annonce les bénédictions à venir pour son peuple (ch. 33-48).
