About this listen
Xeno City, a cross roads in a sprawling multi-species galaxy, is also a city brimming with greed, corruption and murder.
Wading through this murky cesspool is J. Azize "Jazz" Singer. A private detective pursuing an honest, or not so honest, buck.
When Jazz is told of the death of his childhood friend, Erta L’Hotzuma, a death the local law fails to investigate, he sets out to find out who is responsible and why.
His investigation, however, soon meets strong and violent resistance and he begins to suspect he has stumbled onto something bigger than just the death of a friend.
Face the Music is the first of the four part novella series Xeno City Blues.

fun story with great characters Well worth a read
The author sometimes seems to be caught up in making funny quips and humorous remarks rather than focusing on the story. I like a one liner or a funny joke as much as the next guy but some of them seem to be at the level of a high schooler's essay, rather than a professional work of literature. yet all the characters are well-thought-out and creatively imagined. I'll definitely keep reading the series and I'd love to see how this writer grows and develops his style, as I secretly love the cringy little quips and sarcastic remarks more than I'd care to admit. I'm enamoured with the world building, and I hope that the author alocates more pages to explaining the universe in detail as the series progresses! I encourage anyone interested in a fun science fiction/ detective type book to give tis awesome book a read!
