About this listen
Everyone loves a vacation...but the beauty of making that vacation into a road trip is that the fun starts as soon as you get in the car. It’s as much about the journey as it is about the destination - and if you’ve got kids, those drives will be remembered for a lifetime.
Of course, a successful road trip means a little more than buckling up and setting off for your final destination. It needs a little more planning and pizazz than your regular drive to the grocery store. And that’s where a comprehensive family road tripping guide comes in: You’ll learn everything you need to know in order to plan an exciting, memorable, and entertaining trip for the whole family - no matter what ages your kids are.
In the Family Road Trip Planning Guide, you’ll find the ultimate guide to the road trip of a lifetime. You’ll discover:
- How to pick the perfect destination for the whole family
- How to make sure the route you choose is at least as exciting as the end point
- Road-trip packing 101: how to make sure everyone has everything (and it all fits in the car comfortably)
- The weird and wonderful roadside attractions you can include on your trip - and how to plan them into your route
- The one surprising thing you can pack to give your kids purpose (and buy yourself a moment of quiet time at the end of the day)
- Special advice for dog owners: how to make Fido your road trip sidekick
- The benefits of having two qualified drivers - and how you can use them for road trip gains
- Budgeting tips and tricks so you can make sure your road trip really happens
And much more.
If you’ve ever thought you’d have to put that dream road trip on hold until your kids are older, think again. A road trip is the perfect experience for family bonding - and with a little careful planning and a whole lot of anticipation, you can take your family on an adventure that will give them a lifetime’s worth of memories.

Good Reminders and Great Tips!
When I was younger I didn't think much or, do any real planning to take a road trip. I would just get in the car and go. All I had to worry about was myself. This book is not for that guy, this book is full of advice and tips, even a few apps, that are geared toward the guy that has grown up, got married, has kids, and a dog and everyone wants to get in the same care to drive to the other side of the country to see grandma. Now I have to worry about that. I didn't think I would get anything out of something this short, but I found myself thinking "I should write that down". Good Reminders and great tips.

An excellent planning guide!
Packed with lots of useful tips I wouldn't normally think of at all!
Full of fun ideas for when you're travelling with kids, and innovative ways to avoid the "Are we there yet" for the entire journey. Includes safety & practical advice for pets if they're travelling with you!
Overall a fantastic guide to refer to before, during, and after your trip too, as it includes some great suggestions on how to turn the trip into a longlasting memory you can come back to again and again.
100% recommended to every adventurous family!

Get ready for your road trip with this audiobook
I really enjoyed listening to this audio, and I think is a must for those not being used with organising road trips, as it makes great suggestions , and also fun to listen to. Great narration too.

Enjoyed it
We’re looking to go on a road trip this summer. This audiobook was very interesting to listen to and I learnt alot of the advice given by the author. I liked how he gave personal examples so it helped me really reflect.
I must add, I would’ve liked if the author attached the PDF manuscript as I enjoy listening to the narration whilst reading the manuscript.

I love a road trip. This brings back memories
I don't do many road trips these days. I used to love it, and packing was always part of the fun, so I was really pleased to have been asked to review this book. I brought back so many memories for me and I was surprised how many items you need that I would have forgotten. This would truly be a great audiobook to have to play in the background for the entire family to hear while you pack. It would surely remind you of many things you might otherwise have forgotten.

Gets ride of your anxiety around trip planning.
My husband gets major anxiety when we go away, so I got him this audiobook knowing that he might not even listen to it. Two weeks later, he had a vacation booked. We are driving to the grand canyon. He told me it was the best book I ever got him and really appreciated all the tips on how to travel with a dog.

Get ready for the best road trip!
This book was great! It offers practical tips to be efficient whilst enjoying going with the flow and enjoying each moment. It is loaded with advice on how to prepare your kids for the ups and downs ahead, including building a positive mindset before heading out on the open road. I loved how the author included resources (apps, websites, etc.) and budgeting tips for effective preparation before the grand departure. Additionally, I really enjoyed the “Covid friendly” road trip options and reminders about safety precautions and how to avoid missing out on attractions. All these extra tips make it easier and safer to plan a holiday in these times of pandemic.

Informative and Helpful!
The book gives insight into planning a road trip, I have just gone on the road trip, but the planning was missing. I missed out on these tips as my kids are now grown up, but I have gained insight into making trips more exciting, building anticipation and discovering places to go, and picking things for the journey to appeal to all involved with the travel. The book has come in handy to help me plan the next family trip that I have. I will involve kids in the plan and use helpful tips to create family bonding with my older kids and give good adventure and life memories to all involved.
