Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl, read by Chris O'Dowd.
Boggis is an enormously fat chicken farmer who only eats boiled chickens smothered in fat.
Bunce is a duck-and-goose farmer whose dinner gives him a beastly temper.
Bean is a turkey-and-apple farmer who only drinks gallons of strong cider.
Mr Fox is so clever that every evening he creeps down into the valley and helps himself to food from their farms - and those ghastly farmers can't catch him!
Now the farmers have hatched a plan to BANG-BANG-BANG shoot Mr Fox dead! But, just when they think Mr Fox can't possibly escape, he makes a fantastic plan of his own.

Fantastic Storytelling!
This is another really enjoyable story from Roald Dahl that I read when I was at school (many years ago), but have revisited now via an audio book.
Dahl is a master storyteller, and this is up there with his other classic children's titles. There are moments of great humour and excitement as Mr Fox does battle with the three mean farmers who are after him and his family.
Narration by Chris O'Dowd was also entertaining. Highly recommended for those young and those wishing to revisit their youth.

Great fun listen
Just the perfect thing to listen to on a Sunday afternoon when you want something delightful to play in the background.
Chris O'Dowd does a brilliant job with the different voices, and the sound effects are fantastic, especially listen out for the one where the tail gets thrown away, had to replay that a number of times.
Yes it's a children's book, but there's a lot for adults to enjoy too.

Fantastic narration
The star of this audiobook is the narration. Fantastic range of accents and tone - i wish Chris O’Dawd had more on audible. The story is good too, one of the shorter ones of Roald Dahl, some of the language is (typically Roald Dahl) undesirable, if I could change anything it would be to remove some of the name calling etc. I wish there was more morale to the story as a whole too, but it’s cute and there is adventure and good speed to it.

Loved it and Roy from the IT crowd. Perfect combo! I originally saw the film adaption, but needed a new bed time book (to calm my mind). This was perfect, except for a few loud moments from the farmers haha! The book is more soothing and the narrator keeps it easy to follow by doing different voices. I thoroughly enjoy the book. Sad that it is so shirt though!
