Summary

It isn't always easy growing up as a human in Elfhelm, even if your adoptive parents are the newly married Father Christmas and Mary Christmas. For one thing, Elf School can be annoying when you have to sing Christmas songs every day - even in July - and when you fail all your toy-making tests. Also it can get very, very cold.

But when the jealous Easter Bunny and his rabbit army launch an attack to stop Christmas, it's up to Amelia, her new family and the elves to keep Christmas alive. Before it's too late....

Hope

Good story, good narration. However, many many editing issues. It's like noone has listened to the actual book before final release. So many repeated words or phrases that it starts to get quite annoying!!

I don't know why as it's the same narrator as the last book and she pronounced names fine on that but this book she keeps saying the names wrong!!!!

Lovely Story, Bad Narrator

Matt Haig has made the most amazing three books. I again enjoyed the story so much!

The Narrator is good, but does whisper so much when reading. They also don’t pronounce some names correctly, it’s like they’ve not listened to the previous books at all. Also the editing is bad - there is no breaks between Chapters.

Overall, another wonderful book by Matt Haig

Another Modern, Christmas Classic

It amazes me that Hollywood still constantly churns out average Christmas films when you have books like Matt Haig's Christmas trilogy to adapt... These books have kept my family entertained over the last few festive periods as we shuttled around town visiting family and friends. A touching but not a saccharine listen, with a great narration, make them part of your family Christmas tradition.

Story excellent,narration boring!

This is the third Matt Hague Christmas story I’ve read and I’ve got to say as an adult, I throughly enjoyed them (yes I know they’re children’s stories) but in all honesty I thought the narration boring and monotone. I’ll make sure I’m careful about not listening to a story read by this narrator. It’s a shame because the story is wonderful. Sorry for leaving a not very nice review.

Great story!

I love this series of books. It was a shame about the narrator, however, as she kept mispronouncing two of the characters names; Fathers Vodel and Topo. It would have been fine if they had been pronounced her way from the first book: could she not have checked the previous pronounciations? Such a shame as it really spoilt my enjoyment!
