Excellent collection horribly performed
Such a shame... This company produces the best collections of ghost and horror stories from the nineteenth and early twentieth century to be found in audible's catalogue - diverse, good mixture of well-known pieces and 'forgotten gems' - only to have them ruined utterly by Cathy Dobson, who quite simply should not be let near a recording microphone on any excuse.

dissapointment
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
so very sad, I was hoping for more. The 2 stories I coped with were good, but I am sorry to say that after the 2nd story I just could not cope with the reader any more, a very boring and monotone voice. I will be deleting this
Would you be willing to try another one of Cathy Dobson’s performances?
absolutely not! such a terrible reading voice
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Horrible narration
I agree with Leon van Schoonneveldt. The stories are without doubt great, but the narration is so awful I cannot listen to them. I shall return this book if I can find the refund button.
