Summary
If running from a hit man wasn't scary enough, ATF Agent Thayne Wolfe has a new challenge in his life, and this one may be even more dangerous than the last. He has to figure out how to work with his reckless new partner, a handsome former Marine who seems to have a death wish.
Jarrett Evans never stays in one place very long, and being chained to a desk doing paperwork is not his idea of entertainment. His lover and new partner at the ATF seems to find ways to throw a monkey wrench into all his fun, especially when Thayne wants to curtail his need to jump off 10 story buildings.
When their boss sends them to San Diego to investigate a fireworks accident, he figures Jarrett can't hurt anyone playing with sparkers, not even himself. The fact is, danger, intrigue, and Jarrett's dubious past seem to follow the men wherever they go.
From a Marine base at the Mexican border to an explosion in LA's Chinatown, they aren't prepared for a seriously pissed off militia, a smoking hot ex-lover, and more guys who want them dead.
The sparks will fly in and out of the bedroom in Flash and Bang.

Brilliant
Patricia Logan has again created a good mixture of crime and love. The plot line is full of twists and turns with ATF and FBI hot on the trail. Jarrett and Thayne are two alpha males who clearly would die for each other. A great read and audio is fantastic Michael Pauley is amazing at bringing these guys to life.

Amazing book, but def won't be the last
Where does Flash and Bang rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best Law series I have listened too in a long time.
Who was your favorite character and why?
ATF Agent Thayne Wolfe, is amazing in his work ethic.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Was terrified for Jarrett when he ran back into the barn and was shot by someone out to kill him, for what he had done in the past for the Govt.
Any additional comments?
Packed full of Action and running to get to the killers.

Very entertaining listen
I was gifted this audiobook and started to listen but stopped after the first chapter as it was obvious that there was history I needed to know, so I purchased the first book to listen to first. Both book are great with strong characters and a great plots. I hope there will be more books to follow..

It's in the title - Flash and Bang
If you could sum up Flash and Bang in three words, what would they be?
Fast action romance
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hard to choose between Thayne Wolf and Jarett Evans as both continue to grow on me from book one.
Quite different but complimentary characters.
.
.
Which character – as performed by Michael Pauley – was your favourite?
Michael was excellent throughout.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Several within the burgeoning relationship, as well as the national threat that is too close to real life for comfort and the humour that is tastefully done
Any additional comments?
Really liked the book a 4* but the audible gets 5* with Michael Pauley's narration

Explosive stuff
Michael Pauley does another great job with bringing the boys into the audio realm. The characters become even more real after being given a voice.
This time the boys are looking into some fireworks mishaps and find more than they bargained for. And yet again, it would seem that somebody wants them dead.
I went along for the ride as Jarrett Evans and Thane Wolf partner up and seek out the real culprit behind a fatal accident that might be more than it originally seemed to be.

Lost the plot!
I had to DNF this audiobook.
I'd enjoyed book #1, but book #2 made me so mad I couldn't take more than two hours of audio. Here are just a few of the reasons:(spoiler alert)
Jarrett Evans is supposed to be a trained Marine and experienced team player. Yet, in the opening scene, while chasing gun runners through LA, Jarrett goes onto the roof of a skyscraper alone-knowing his partner and colleages are on their way to assist. He destroys his ear-peice, then goes on to kill one baddie, kneecap another, and then decides that to prevent the third gunman from getting him the best thing to do is tie a rope around the body of the bad guy he kneecaped and absail off the building????????
Now, by the time I heard this my eyes were rolling so far back I saw my brain. This is just plain ridiculous.
Then we have a sex scene that seemed to go on forever and encapsulated ALL of the M/M sex cliches as if they'd been listed, this and the addition of the completely over-the-top narration, made me want to laugh out loud, and then wish it was over. This is not how I want my sex scenes!
If a reader is on BOOK 2, you can be sure they read/listened to Book 1.
I HATE when authors use recap's and internal 'feelings' monologues to unnecessarily inflate the word count. It's boring as hell and treats readers as if they have no memory of the first book and are stupid.
DON'T do this, authors, please. Cos you'll loose me as a reader/listener.
Next. Wolf and Evan's are supposed to be top investigators, and yet, they travel to the Marine Base in San Diego knowing NOTHING about the event they are supposed to be investigating, they look at the explosion site not even knowing WHY arson is suspected. This is just so unrealistic as to be pure B.S.
The narrators character voices were great, however, his main narration was stuck in over-the-top 'Movie Trailer Guy' mode and made me want to cringe.
These are the reason's I'm done with this series.
