Flight of fancy
After a long wait we finally to enjoy this wonderful story by getting to listen to it. The book and its follow ups already won me over so this audio version is a real bonus.
It is interresting to read/listen to a story where one of the main characters isn’t that “perfect”, not flawed mind you, just diffrent, getting to read characters on the spectrum is refreshing and eye opening. And amanda sure did write a great story portraying that.
Even if i did have other voices in my mind before starting this listen Amy Putt did a real great job at portraying the characters, loved her Henry.

Loved the Series!
So I listened to the audio book and read the two following books in less then three days (I was sick in bed so there was nothing to stop me).Total page turner. Truly a romantic series that pulled at your heart strings. I found myself needing to know what was going to happen next. I was pleased with the writing the plot was well thought out. Once I got to know the characters I fell in love with them and never wanted it to end. I will read this again and again.

Enjoyable, but some plot holes
This was a sweet book with interesting characters and a kid who stole the show. I found both Olivia and Henry were delightful and particularly enjoyed the fact that Henry was pretty realistic as a 5-year-old, unlike a lot of romcom/romance kids. I also enjoyed the side characters.
I found the first main character, Emily, a little flat, though. She had a back story that was interesting, but it didn't actually make HER more interesting. Presumably she'll get more development in the subsequent books?
I may come back and read the others later but I don't feel like I've got to do it now, which tells me something in the narrative just didn't capture me fully. It's partly that I don't think the author set up enough believable conflict here to carry it into a series. Seems like the issue of a flight attendant fraternizing with a passenger could be pretty easily solved by, I don't know, having the passenger take a different flight? I don't know. The interpersonal conflict worked okay, but I just don't believe the work issue would really be that much of a deal breaker, so he whole thing sort of seems staged.
The narrator was animated and told the story well, but her American accents sounded weirdly like a mix of Standard American, Boston, and Australian, which took me out of it, particularly in the beginning. Once I got used to it it was okay though! The wrong stress on "TELEvision" made me wince every time though (teleVISION is so British 😆)

Loved it!!
I read this series a few years ago and was looking forward to it coming out in audio. It did not disappoint! The audiobook version did a great job bringing the book to life. Olivia is a person with a big heart that struggles with social interactions (Autism-Aspergers??). Her interactions with Emily and Henry(Emily's son) are funny, quirky, frustrating and at times challenging. It's hard to see how much she struggles and the "mistakes" she makes when we know she really means well. Emily is a great mom doing the best she can for her son. The both of them together could really complement the other. I can't wait to have book 2 in audio! Well Done!!

I need a sequel
I loved this book, for few reasons, first it gives an insight into the mind of the socially challenged, second it teaches how to deal with the socially challenged.
I love the 4 MC including the 5 YO child.
Narration was excellent.
Buy I need a better way to end it or a sequel.

Frustrated
It drives me nuts when an author doesn’t write one book instead of breaking it up into two or three book. What is wrong with one long book? This book was interesting. I like the characters. After saying that it began to be redundant with Emily’s constant “I’m his mother”. I felt more for Olivia than Emily. At least Olivia acted consistently. Emily was the one changing the rules. I’m onto the second book, Grounded.

SQFanFic to Novel!
I had read this story when it was just a SQ FanFic online and so I’m really excited to see that it’s made it to audiobook format! You Go!!
This story is absolutely awesome! It always has been. It really shines a bit of a light if some issues that don’t get much attention, especially is this form. But this story does a beautiful job of bringing some hard and at times heartbreaking situations for anyone to have to constantly go through.
The Narrator did a rather good job of bringing these characters to life. I had probably had a harder time adjusting to the Narrator’s voicing choices for a few of the characters simply because I am extremely we versed in this story’s original form and characters, so I had to actively got those voices out of my head.
I will say I’m not sold on Olivia’s voicing choices. It would clashes with the image of what Olivia looked, acted, and lived like. Accents follow social lines to a pretty heavy degree and the more heavy New Yorker accent just doesn’t fit.
I am really happy at least ONE of the characters’ names remained the same! lol though I really wished the scar had stayed in the same place. Oh well… legally suck sometimes…

Good, but not my favorite by Radley or Putt
OK I was enjoying the book, sort of slow chemistry going on, liked the characters, then ... the book ended?!! basically a cliffhanger and I didn't know i was listening to something that wasn't going to be wrapped up with a happy ending. I'll have to find out which book has the continuation of Olivia and Emily. Amy Putt, I love listening to your voice, but please STOP doing American accents. I kept imagining Liza Minelli in.the movie Arthur when Olivia talked with a NY accent. Amy Putt has the sexiest British and Scottish accents and probably many more I've yet to discover, but don't waste her voice on an American accent. My only real complaints would be 1-that the characters didn't have sexy English accents and 2- the fact that I bought half of a book. The book is still very good. I'll be looking to track down the next part of their story.
