Summary
The heartwarming, inspiring final chapter in the life of Max the Miracle dog
A dog can be more than just a best friend.
Sometimes they can be our hero.
Shortly after a traumatic car accident, Kerry Irving met Max, a Springer Spaniel who completely changed his life. But Max didn’t stop there. For over ten years, he was a source of inspiration to countless others around the world, with hundreds of thousands of pounds being raised in his name. His was truly a life well lived.
Forever Max sees Kerry and his trusted companion take on their final adventures around the Lake District, from providing joy to those stuck inside through lockdown to adjusting to Max’s twilight years – helped along every step of the way by fellow spaniels Paddy and Harry.
Following on from the bestseller Max the Miracle Dog, this touching tribute celebrates a much-loved, much-missed dog and his incredible legacy.

Great uplifting tail!
A great book about a special dog, and special companions. Listened to the audio book and bought a signed hard copy whilst in Keswick.

Beautifully written about a much loved and much missed Springer Spaniel
Thoroughly inspiring read about Max, Kerry and his boys. The story explains how Max gave hope to so many and his legacy continues to help saves lives by raising money to support GNAAS. Kerry is a very kind and sensitive man who has bought a lot of people together and proves that dogs are definitely our best friends 🧡

“How will Max know how much I loved him”
This was said by a 12 year old girl on hearing her best friend, a little brown and white Spaniel had died. When read units proper context I would challenge anyone not to reach for the tissues.
A beautiful follow up to Max the Miracle Dog

Another Great Book from Kerry Irving and Max
I enjoyed every minute through smiles and tears. The only thing that could make it even better would be Kerry reading it but I totally understand why he probably wasn't able to.

Loved this ❤️
I lost my Springer 1 and a half years ago so this was an emotional listen. Being from Keswick myself (Angela was my hairdresser) I could picture myself being there. Fabulous story, would highly recommend.

The waggiest tail!
Loved listening to this book, as I did the first one. Such emotion and love that everyone could learn from. Kerry and his beloved dogs are the reason I have visited Keswick twice now and my heart is in The Lakes. A book of honesty, sadness and happiness. The narrator does very well and makes the story flow - just a shame that no-one checked how he voiced Manesty. Man-e-sty not mainsty!!
