Summary
The heartwarming, inspiring final chapter in the life of Max the Miracle dog
A dog can be more than just a best friend.
Sometimes they can be our hero.
Shortly after a traumatic car accident, Kerry Irving met Max, a Springer Spaniel who completely changed his life. But Max didn’t stop there. For over ten years, he was a source of inspiration to countless others around the world, with hundreds of thousands of pounds being raised in his name. His was truly a life well lived.
Forever Max sees Kerry and his trusted companion take on their final adventures around the Lake District, from providing joy to those stuck inside through lockdown to adjusting to Max’s twilight years – helped along every step of the way by fellow spaniels Paddy and Harry.
Following on from the bestseller Max the Miracle Dog, this touching tribute celebrates a much-loved, much-missed dog and his incredible legacy.

Loved this ❤️
I lost my Springer 1 and a half years ago so this was an emotional listen. Being from Keswick myself (Angela was my hairdresser) I could picture myself being there. Fabulous story, would highly recommend.

The waggiest tail!
Loved listening to this book, as I did the first one. Such emotion and love that everyone could learn from. Kerry and his beloved dogs are the reason I have visited Keswick twice now and my heart is in The Lakes. A book of honesty, sadness and happiness. The narrator does very well and makes the story flow - just a shame that no-one checked how he voiced Manesty. Man-e-sty not mainsty!!

The worlds most loved dog
This sequel to Max the Miracle Dog is everything a reader could wish for. It is a rollercoaster of love, emotion and hope. It highlights how life can change and become both heartbreaking and distressing. But the unconditional love of our pets can bring us hope a listening ear and a cuddle whenever you need one. The bonds built open doors and help us communicate.
It is read so well by Marston York. He just needs to know how to pronounce GNAAS and Manesty woods.
A pawfect listen thank you!

Wow - what a great inspiring book to listen to
If you follow Max out in the Lake District on Facebook, enjoying Kerry's daily adventures with his spaniels, then you'll love this book. Hard to put down, a powerful uplifting story which gives an insight into the hard work Kerry does in the background. Beautifully written with Kerry's wonderful sense of humour throughout. Looking forward to book 3 already.

Another Great Book from Kerry Irving and Max
I enjoyed every minute through smiles and tears. The only thing that could make it even better would be Kerry reading it but I totally understand why he probably wasn't able to.

Raw emotional absolutely amazing
Having followed Kerry since lockdown and read book one this fills in the gaps. An account of an extremely modest man and his dog who want to do right by others. Funny in parts and an absolute tear jerker in others you don't need to be a max fan to enjoy
