About this listen

Damaged. Broken. Destroyed. I’ve heard it all. A single moment of trusting the wrong person shattered my life into pieces, and my family has never looked at me the same. It’s impossible to convince them that I’m anything more than the broken girl they rescued all those years ago.

Until I meet him.

Ramsey’s grumpy demeanor and menacing scowl scare most of the world away. But not me. Not when I’ve seen his gentle hands soothe an abused colt or comfort a terrified mare.

And when I finally get up the courage to strike out on my own, Ramsey’s there. Roommates felt like such a safe proposition until Ramsey’s lingering touches and wicked smile light a fire in me I don’t think will ever be extinguished. And he feels it, too....

But just as my new life begins to take root, an evil from my past emerges from the shadows, casting a darkness on my newfound freedom. And this time, they won’t settle for pieces of me. They want everything....

Incredible love story!

I have been waiting for Shiloh's story since the first book in this series and it is fantastic. Packed full of healing, suspense and love, Catherine Cowles gives us everything in this one and I loved it. Shiloh was kidnapped at the age of ten and when finally found, she is broken. Overprotected by her family she breaks free and moves into Ramsey's guest cabin. Here she can watch him work his magic as he helps heal abused horses. And our story starts. Cowles creates their world, adding in a little suspense, a family of abused children and a budding love. Ramsey may be grumpy but he has a heart of gold. Shiloh is so strong, and she finds out just how resilient she is. I love the boys and the addition of Ramsey's farm, as it suits this couple perfectly. I also love getting to see others from the other four books too! They add that feeling of family and community, making it a listen that is like coming home. An amazing addition to this series, you will want to grab it right away.

Narrated by Erin Mallon and Joe Arden just enhances this story. Mallon knows how to hit all the emotions when it comes to Shiloh. She is a very complex character, and each layer has Mallon stretching her talent and making us feel Shiloh's emotions. Ramsey is a quiet man, but Arden finds his voice, whether inner monologue or conversation and makes him real. Each emotion is true and easy to feel. Loved their performance!

Excellent final book in the series.

Fantastic narration as usual from Erin & Joe.

Shiloh’s is the one we have waited for, and when we were introduced to Ramsey in Shattered Sea, I was done for, I needed that book.

An excellent final book for the series.

Both Shiloh and Ramsey have traumatic pasts, both extremely reluctant to let any one in. Yet both have had an unlikely distant understanding of one another for many years, without ever actually meeting, only seeing!

That understanding is the start of a friendship neither expected, when Shiloh finally finds the courage to approach Ramsey, and what a beautiful friendship it becomes, but soon that’s simply not enough, for either of them.

Demons from Shiloh’s past emerge with a new threat. Finally she’s making a fresh start to her life taking Ramsey with her, but that’s about to be put on the line, someone is not prepared for her to move on.

Elliot, Aida n & Kai stole the show for me.

Catherine’s given us fantastic reads with the Tattered & Torn series, adding amazing new characters to the Catherine Universe, as they all intertwined at some point.

I can’t wait for The Lost & Found Series, Holt is another character she’s been teasing us with. Bring it on!

My Favourite book of the series

I have been waiting for Shiloh’s story since she first appeared in ‘Tatterd Stars’, and this definitely didn’t disappoint. I’m just sad that this is the end of the ‘Tattered and Torn’ series.

Through this entire series, the glimpses I’ve seen of Shiloh really intrigued me. I was rooting for her to get her life back and feel happiness after the horrific trauma she faced at just ten years old. In ‘fractured sky’, she finally gets that with Ramsey.
And just like with Shiloh, I became really intrigued with Ramsey after seeing glimpses of him in ‘Shattered Sea’.
I’m so happy these two were able to come together and heal through their pain together and get their HEA. They both deserve it.

I can’t believe that’s the end of this series. It’s really been one of my favourite series of 2022. I can’t wait to see where Catherine takes us next.

I have listened to the audiobook twice now, and I’m sure I will be listening again. Both Erin Mallon and Joe Arden did an absolute amazing job in bringing the characters of Shiloh and Ramsey to life. It was very enjoyable to listen to their narration.

If you haven’t already started ‘Tattered and Torn’ series, then I highly recommend you do. This entire series has just been perfection. No one writes romantic suspense quite like Catherine. Every single narrator who has taken part and lent their voices to the characters of this series have all done amazingly. I can’t recommend the audiobooks in this series more if I tried.

Best till last

🎧 AUDIO REVIEW 🎧

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Surprise favourite of the series, definitely left one of the best till last.

Was a great story of two people who don’t talk much to the people of the town, keep to themselves, but are also totally different. There relationship just seem to work and the chemistry with them is just there.

Ramsey was just the perfect hero and exactly what Shiloh needed. She was also what he needed to get back to being with people and family.

Had to keep listening to this one. Loved the boys in the story too and loved their ending. The feels this book gives. Amazing!

This book will hit you with All The Feels!!

Oh, how I LOVE a story that hits you with ALL THE FEELS!! Fractured Sky is one of those books. Add in the fact that it left me in a puddle of happy tears by the end… so perfect!

“You’ve opened him up to people. To life.”
A pang lit along my sternum. “I hope so because he’s done the same for me.”
“That’s the best we can hope for. Making each other better, giving each other a safe place to land.”

Ramsey has been such a mystery. Keeping to himself while rumors swirled, but when Shiloh needs him, he is quick to step up and be there for her.

“Maybe it wasn’t just Shiloh who’d lit up my world. It was possible I had done the same for her. That balance made for a relationship that would stand the test of time.”

Small town, suspense, danger, grumpy swoony hero, and characters who find a way to go beyond their pasts and forge a bright future together… Fractured Sky has it all!
I listened to most of this book on audio and loved the narration! It completely brought the characters to life for me!!

Exceptionally Beautiful & Heartfelt~Amazing 🎧📚🎧

Saying Catherine Cowles saved the best for last would not be giving this series justice because every book in this series has been just as amazing as the other. I have been waiting for Shiloh’s story since hearing of her tragic past, an event that changed the lives of not only her, but her entire family and Everly too, and it was so worth the wait. Cowles brings us full circle, and what she does with Shiloh’s character is absolutely wonderful, taking her out of her shell and becoming the amazing women she was always meant to be which was extremely satisfying to see and another bonus was watching her and her family heal. The road had not been easy for her and when her past comes back to haunt her, she relives her nightmares once again. But she meets someone who becomes her rock and the one who can help her heal and it so happened that someone is also broken from a tragic past, and a loner too. Ramsey is not a people person, he is more of an animal person and works with rehabilitating horses that were abused and broken. Shiloh used to sneak on to his property to watch what he did, he knew she was there but said nothing and as time went on, they acknowledged each other with a glance, both sensed they were kindred spirits and it was confirmed when they finally talked. I absolutely loved Ramsey, the man who got a bad rap has the biggest heart, he keeps people at a distance because of trust issues but when he lets you in he has you, a perfect example was what he does for those two boys, not to mention all the animals he saves and works with. And he does not hesitate to step out of his comfort zone to help Shiloh when she needs it. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is a beautifully written and plotted story with plenty of drama, heartfelt emotions, a touch of angst, thrilling suspense, a surprising twist and a slow burn romance. Catherine Cowles, thank you for this amazing story and emotional roller coaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Catherine Cowles cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that fit their character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Erin Mallon’s Shiloh was spot on, perfectly broken, vulnerable and grew with her as she grew. Joe Arden nailed it as Ramsey, grasping all sides of his personality from his soft side to his hardened side. They also captured their every emotion and had you feeling them all. They were just as amazing performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Stellar performances 💜

This audiobook was phenomenal!! It needs to win all the awards💕 Joe & Erin’s performances were absolutely stellar.

I loved everything about Fractured Sky. I loved the innocence of sweet Elliot. The fierce determination & protective nature of Aiden. The openness of Ramsey. For a man who spent most of his adult life closed off he opened up in the best way. I loved Shiloh’s strength. Her ability to move beyond her past is amazing. Most of all I loved the feeling of family both Shiloh’s family & the family that she created with Ramsey.

Fractured Sky turned me into a marshmallow!! I swear I didn’t ¾ of the book with tears in my eyes. Catherine wrote a beautiful story of broken people who fit perfectly together to make their own family.

**can’t forget Kai!! He was freaking awesome♥️

💕fave quotes📖
He moved then, pulling me into a hard hug. No one had made a move to touch me other than Shiloh in years. Even Lor didn’t try. The signals to stay far away were too strong. This simple kindness almost broke me. Instead, I hugged Hayes back.🥺

I stared up at that fractured sky, my only salvation. The faintest glimmer of hope took root in my chest. 😭♥️

I loved it!

Last but certainly not least it’s Shiloh and Ramsey’s turn to find love. Their story is the perfect blend of angst, heat, and heart, with a wonderful sense of family both chosen and kin. The exciting storyline had me on the edge of my seat with not only the suspense, but the thrilling twists and turns! I highly recommend this series.

Amazing book

What can I say…this was a phenomenal story. I’m not sure how to put into words all the feelings running through me right now. It feels like we’ve been waiting for a long time for this story, even tho we thought we knew what Shiloh went through. This story was heartbreaking but at the same time heartwarmingly beautiful. Ms Cowles takes you right to the heart of Shiloh and Ramsey’s feelings. It broke my heart to read them but at the same time she put me back together again. Their journey of acceptance and strength was amazing to witness. The way the rest of the family stood up for them both melted my heart. I was so glad to see Hayes and Ramsey become friends. All the characters played a huge part in this story and the addition of a few new ones just added to the magic and kindness of this wonderful family of people. I’m sad to say goodbye to this community and I’m glad certain characters managed to partially redeem themselves to. Fabulous narration as well. Really enhances the reading experience if you listen to it as well.
I’m now looking forward to the next book and a new series. Beautiful story and I highly recommend it.

Beautiful narration for a beautiful story

As with the previous books in this series the narration for Fractured Sky has been first class. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon imbued every ounce of feeling into their portrayals of Ramsey and Shiloh. Their pain and hesitancy apparent in every word. I would have no hesitation listening to any audible books that they have been a part of.

It’s bittersweet that the Tattered and Torn series has come to an end but it’s only fitting that this amazing series that begun with Shiloh’s kidnapping has come full circle and ended with her story in Fractured Sky.

Shiloh and Ramsey’s story is filled with so much anguish as this emotionally damaged pair both struggle to overcome the traumas of their pasts. Despite being surrounded by family Shiloh is just as lonely as Ramsey and their story is so poignant as they strive to come together. Each touch so tentative. The parts involving their interactions with the horses are so beautifully written they touched even this hardened cynic’s heart and just when happiness is within their grasp the past rears its ugly head once more.

I cannot recommend this series strongly enough. Each book has been a five star read for me and while I’m sad to say goodbye to Wolf Gap and the Eastons, I’m sure I’ll be revisiting these books again and again.
