About this listen
Can a French kiss persuade an uptight Englishman to leave his city behind and start a new life in rural France?
Clean-cut London businessman Dale Calverley doesn’t do relationships.
Rugged French handyman Valentin Aubrey doesn’t do city men.
When Dale hires Valentin to help him fix up his inherited farmhouse estate in rural France and sell to the highest bidder, sparks fly.
Complete opposites, can they really expect their insta-lust to last beyond the storm that forces them together?
But how can Dale walk away from a man so alluringly rogue as Valentin Aubrey?
And how can Valentin expect a man so money-orientated to throw away his career and stay in the wilderness with him?
French Kiss (Flying into Love, Book 1) is a contemporary, opposites attract, age-gap, forced proximity MM romance featuring an uptight English businessman with a preference for nameless hookups and a rugged half-French handyman with a checkered past.

Ohh so lucky
How lucky was I to get an arc copy of this book?
Set in France. Somewhere I have been on holiday and could picture the little French town. We meet Dale, a businessman from England heading to France after his father died to sell the house. Instead, he finds a man living in his father's house.
I love how CF White writes; you feel immersed in the characters and story.
Valentin is a complex character and Dale more so, but their battle was great and the chemistry strong.
Well done, you have another brilliant book under your name. I would highly recommend you read this book. There are moments in French which I could guess at, as it's been an age since my O'Level French class.
Massive amount of trust issues, family, lost family and obviously love and a happy ever after, what more do we need.
I loved this book when I read it but fell in love with it when Piers Ryman narrated it, and his voice carries this book into your mind. Eyes shut, I could see the cottage and grounds and visualise the countryside.
Perfection.

Fantastic author and narrator combination
Can I just start of with saying that I loves this new book by C.F. white and the start of a new series. I enjoyed the dynamic between the mc's, it is a fast developing attraction due to being forced to stay in the same house
Dale and Valentin are well crafted characters who seemed to be opposites but really to me, they are two men who have been damaged in their youth and have become persons that have a hard time to truly connect and be open and handle that in completely different ways.
This story is a contemporary mm romance, with French sentences and words, in there with a bit of a hick-up in the relationship but with a hea after especially Dale comes to his senses. 5*
For the audiobook:
Piers Ryman did an excellent job in giving even more colour and care to both Valentin and Dale. Love his narratiob 5* as well.
Overall: 5*
I kindly eceived an arc and audiobook via the author andd I leave my personal review.

Entertaining Rendition.
Valentin and Dale are interesting characters, with some flaws and baggage, but they also have a charm to them. Both are definitely insecure, which creates some misunderstandings, those made me want to slap them both at times, and just yell at them to speak to one another!! They are likeable characters in their own way, with layers and somewhat sad backgrounds which were sensitively referred to. I loved the ending. Nice writing, with lot of depth and emotion. I enjoyed listening to the story, I felt that the narrator especially caught Valentin's character.

Great character growth
What better way to get a cultured Englishman who loves playing the field together with a rough around the edges French handyman than to have the Englishman inherit a rundown French farmhouse in desperate need of repairs. They are around each other consulting on the repairs and starting to feel the attraction and wouldn't you know it they get cut off from the rest of the world by a storm. Forced proximity romance here we come. Both these men are interesting but Dale is carrying around some heavy baggage that explains why he's never wanted to settle down and Valentin has his own secrets, eventually they see the light and work through them. Both characters go through some serious and difficult emotional growth. Loved the setting of this one, who wouldn't want to meet someone in the French countryside? Piers Ryman's performance let's us hear and feel the growth these characters experience both how hard it is at times and the reward at the end.
