Summary
Editorial cartoonist Mike Luckovich of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution was just awarded the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for cartooning. (This is his second. He also received the 1995 Pulitzer Prize for cartooning). The judges sited him "for his powerful cartoons on an array of issues, drawn with a simple but piercing style." One of his cartoons lampoons Pat Robertson, the founder of the Christian Coalition who earlier this year called for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. The cartoon depicts Robertson wearing a t-shirt which reads "Who Would Jesus Assassinate?" (Broadcast Date: April 19, 2006)
