About this listen

When Sylvester, aka Psycho Cat, an animal with a sixth sense, discovers a human skeleton inside a trunk in the attic of one of her rental units, landlady and amateur sleuth Beth must return from wintering in Arizona.

After only a few days, the investigators are told to put the case on hold. Why?

Tracking down the tenants from that time and uncovering evidence won’t be easy, but Beth, for everyone’s sake, vows to identify both the victim and the perpetrator.

Fun, humorous situations compete with the suspense as Beth searches back and forth, in time to reveal the murderous truth.

Feline investigations

This is the first book by this author that I have listened to but I quite enjoyed it and will be checking out other books by this author. The story does jump around from the present to the past, so it does take some getting use to but I think this works well as you don't know who the murder victim is until near the end of the story. This means you are guessing the whole way who the skeleton was and who the killer is. The cast of characters works well but I think I would have liked to have seen the cat a bit more, well with a name like psycho cat he didn't really show why he got the name and I expected more high jinks. Other wise it is a good fun mystery that keeps you guessing.
Beth and her husband are away and there son is looking after there property and cat they own. The problem is the cat finds a skeleton in a trunk in the attic. It's a very old case and with pressure from up high the police decide they have more important cases to solve. Beth on the other hand can't stop wondering who was stuffed in the trunk and despite the detectives advise to stay out of it she start contacting former tenants. Could one of them be the skeleton or the cause of skeleton. Tracking down the tenants is harder than it sounds and with Psycho cat helping to find clues it is only a matter of time before Beth puts herself and her family on the radar of someone who wants the skeleton to stay buried.
I liked the narrator and thought she did a good job with all the voices needed to bring this story alive.
