Heinrich Heine war zeitlebens ein unruhiger Geist und häufig auf Reisen. Aus Reiseberichten, Zeitungsartikeln und Feuilletons schuf er künstlerische Kleinode wie "Die Harzreise" oder seine polemischen Reisebilder "Italien". Berührendstes Zeugnis seines poetischen Schaffens aber ist "Deutschland. Ein Wintermärchen", angeregt durch eine Reise in sein Heimatland nach 13 Jahren im Pariser Exil.

Wie schön, witzig, treffsicher und bis heute gültig Heines Worte sind, empfindet man beim Wieder-Hören umso mehr durch die zeitlose Interpretation Gert Westphals.

Heine

For once I am not a Westphal fan in his rendering of Heine. And Heine, at times sparkling diamonds but much that is aged and repetitive. Lucca did not appeal to me
