About this listen
'Smart, funny, and sexy' Meg Cabot, author of No Judgments and the Princess Diaries series
Talia Hibbert delivers a witty, hilarious romantic comedy about a woman who's tired of being 'boring' and recruits her mysterious, sexy neighbour to help her get a life - perfect for fans of Sally Thorne, Jasmine Guillory and Helen Hoang!
Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan and a list. After almost - but not quite - dying, she's come up with a list of directives to help her 'Get a Life':
- Enjoy a drunken night out
- Ride a motorbike
- Go camping
- Have meaningless but thoroughly enjoyable sex
- Travel the world with nothing but hand luggage
- And . . . do something bad
But it's not easy being bad, even when you've written out step-by-step guidelines. What Chloe needs is a teacher, and she knows just the man for the job: Redford 'Red' Morgan.
With tattoos and a motorbike, Red is the perfect helper in her mission to rebel, but as they spend more time together, Chloe realises there's much more to him than his tough exterior implies. Soon she's left wanting more from him than she ever expected . . . maybe there's more to life than her list ever imagined?

What a delightful and refreshing romance!
I absolutely adored the story of Chloe and Red. Far from the usual romantic tropes of beautiful and timid girl and brooding and rich hero, this is an endearing story about a girl living with her physical disability and dealing with chronic pain and fatigue and a boy who has been in a toxic relationship and how they find their way back into having a meaningful relationship. Amazing narration and superb story writing🙂

I don’t get the hype
It was a bit too cringe for me, I didn’t enjoy most aspects of it. I think I’ve grown out of the romance genre, I need love stories that are more real and genuine and less fluffy and fake.

Hilarious, relatable, invisible illness
This made me laugh so much! Adjoa Andoh did an incredible job of bringing the characters to life. Of course this is a hilarious rom-com, but it has so much more going for it than your usual comedy. It's wonderful to see a plus-sized woman main character without her size being anything particularly notable. What is notable is Chloe's fibromyalgia, which has impacted her in ways that make it difficult for her to put herself out there and to allow herself to be vulnerable. It's very unusual to see a portrayal of an invisible illness that's physical, and certainly gave me an insight into the condition and how difficult it is to live with it, and this side of Chloe's character was handled realistically and with a lightness of touch. Red, also, has his confidence issues, and together these two are unstoppable. A fabulous, sharply observed comedy with depth and empathy.

Quite spicy enjoyable romance
I must admit the narrator wasn't entirely a good choice for the character I had in my head (and on the cover) but after a while I did not mind.
The parts of Redd were better and so overall I enjoyed it.
The story was unusual, the list made me excited to find out what's next... A bit of spice did not hurt either. All in all I had good time with this book. Will definitely listen to the other sisters' stories.

Humor and feelings for the soul. Buy the audio.
The most delicious book I have ever heard. Love it with a passion, it is so good in every way. First off, that author is a miracle. A true talent with words, sentences and the whole story. Can not wait to read more by her. Secondly, I want that narrator to adopt me. Love that voice. To the author, thank you for that humor, thank you for that vulnerability, thank you for this story and thank you for choosing that narrator. You are an absolute perfection! My first book by this author and now I have a new “go-to” book for my dream shelf.. Can not tolerate the thought of missing out on this gift that is above perfection.. To all the other readers, just give her a try. You won´t be disappointed. This story is everything you didn´t know you needed for your soul. You can not ask the narrator to adopt you however, she is mine.
