A really enjoyable listen.

I enjoyed listening to this story. The author, the characters and the narrator were really good.

Complicated plot with twists but gripping and enjoyable.

I found it difficult at first to place all the characters but it gradually became clearer. It took me a while to really get into it but I was glad I persevered as I then didn’t want to stop listening. Would recommend.

Could not finish it on Audible as the narrators voice and tone got on my nerves.

won't bother trying another one if it's the same narrator. haven't a clue what the book was about. First time that's happened to me. I've listened to hundreds of books.

Takes a Little Patience

This audiobook took me quite a while to get into. I’ve read a number of Ed James’s book and enjoyed them so wanted to stick with this one.

It seems for the first half of the book that the majority of the characters are overly aggressive and therefore it’s a little difficult to get to like any of them although the narrator seemed to settle down and a number of the key characters mellowed a little.

The story itself is pretty good and I like how the officers have a number of cases to deal with and differing lines of enquiry unlike some authors.

Great book spoilt by the narrator

a good story but found it really difficult to.listen to.due to the narrator.
Not sure if I can put myself through the rest of the series if the narrative is done in the same manner

Bad image for senior police officers!

If all senior police officers are like the ones in this book then we are in big trouble - incompetent, lazy and bullies ….. I lost patience listening to their parts of the story. Unfortunately the characters all seemed to be caricatures and so I couldn’t really care what happened to them.
