About this listen

No one would say Keelie Lockhart isn’t determined.

Taking on the role of both mom and dad to her two young kids, she’s managing life the best she can. Saddled with a century-old dilapidated farmhouse she can’t afford, a bevy of goats, two dogs, and a geriatric donkey, the last thing she has time for is a man - even if that man is a knight whose shining armor comes in the form of worn-in jeans and work boots.

Controlled, methodical, and focused - Asa Hollingsworth takes charge of everything in life. Working close to home after years away, he finally has the time to focus on his kids. Little does he know, a chance meeting with a petite strawberry-blonde stranded on the side of the road, would intertwine their lives in a way he’d never want to untangle.

But when school bullies turn into something much worse, Asa starts to dig around. He never dreams the troubles lurking in the hallways of the local high school would shake his family to its core. With drug dealers lurking, bullets flying, and threats coming from every angle, Asa must do everything he can to protect the ones he loves.

Because in the end, there’s nothing more precious than the gift of life.

The Killers series is intended for mature listeners.

Really enjoying this series!

I thought I had this worked out but nope - I got this completely wrong. Brynne Asher gives Romance and Suspense in spades and this series just keeps getting better.

A Second Chance At Love for Both Characters.🤞💘

Gifts: The Killers,
Book 3
By: Brynne Asher
🎧 Audiobook Narrated by: Kit Swann and Jason Clarke
Length: 11 hrs and 14 mins
📖 Ebook Read Using Kindle Unlimited

Another outstanding audiobook. Both narrators did an amazing job with the main and secondary characters.👏

Asa falls hard and fast for widow Keelie. She's a mum of two primary school-age children, his are both mid to late teens! Keelie tries to protect her heart before anything can hurt it, and seeing Asa injured sends her spiralling.🥺

There are some bad manoeuvring's going on to Asa's 15 yr old daughter, Emma. She's clearly distressed but refuses to admit to an issue. It's impossible to guess what she's hiding!😢

A lovely read and listen.⭐️

Good book and great continuation on the killers series. top notch narration from kit and Jason as usual, as always they bring the story and characters to life. I'm off to spend a credit on the next book in the series.

My favourite of the series so far

I’ve really enjoyed the ‘Killers’ series but liked Gifts the most - no doubt due to Asa Hollingsworth! I’m in my 40s and it’s nice to have characters in romance books who aren’t in their 20s; I also really just want an Asa in my life! The storyline was gripping and it was so sweet how their families came together. Highly recommended!

Absolutely Loving this Series

I have listened to the first 3 books back to back, and I'm loving the series so far. They are definitely best listened to in order, as each book provides updates on the lives of the main characters from previous books, which would be spoilers, if not listened to in order.
I did find Keeley quite irritating at times in this book, so I'm really glad this wasn't the first, but I recognise that could just be me, and other listeners will find her character much more relatable.
As with the first 2 books, lots of suspense, and plot twists, lots of passion, and plenty of laugh out loud moments too.
Excellent narration by both narrators once again 😊

FABULOUS & DEFINITELY 5 ⭐️

This was the 3rd book in the killers series and it was as excellent as the previous 2👍❤️

This story ticks every single box and the author hits the mark every time! Romance, hot sex, intrigue, suspense and a fabulously hot hero lead.
The characters have depth, a great back story and fantastic chemistry. All characters are well thought out and likeable, apart from the villains of course 🙂
The story was a perfect length and completed properly and not rushed, like some other books I’ve read/listened to (not by this author)where you’re like ‘is that it?’ And feel a bit cheated. Absolutely not the case here!
This author knows her craft and respects her readers.
Finally, the narrators of these books are perfect and very well chosen. I would go so far as to say, for portraying male and female leads, they are a dream team! Love them ❤️
Thanks Brynne Asher for another fabulous book….this is why I read/listen.

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Enjoying this series

but good god! Keeley is annoying AF. Self sabotaging and not talking about her issues like an adult. Ugh!
