Summary

Nine o'clock. That's when Ellie has to be home. Her dad thinks it's not safe any later. But then the most amazing, magical thing happens. Out with her best friends Magda and Nadine, she meets a boy. And it's her he's interested in - not drop-dead gorgeous Magda or super-cool Nadine. But will Russell stay interested in a girl who has to be home by nine?

Good Book

I have always loved Jacqueline Wilson books. I like Ellie and Magna’s OK, but quite mean to Ellie. And Nadine… um… well she’s pretty DUMB getting in a stranger’s van. The next bit has lots of spoilers, so if you haven’t read it already, stop reading now.

So, Ellie and her friends are having a girls night out together. After they go to MCDonald’s. Ellie sees someone sketching her. Magna says she should sketch him. She does. The boy comes over to them. He says his name is Russel. Magna goes home. Nadine, Ellie and Russel walk to the bus stop. Nadine goes home. Russel suggests they go to the park. They do. They kiss a lot. They meet up at MCDonald’s and go to the park for the next few weeks. Magna had a crush on her Art teacher (Anyone who’s read Love Lessons familiar?) and follows him home (She’s got a nerve). Magna invites Nadine and Ellie to a Claudie concert, in the same day as Russel wants to take Ellie to a dance. She goes to the concert, but it’s cancelled. Some guys are there, and they invite the girls to their place. They drink beer and smoke. They stay there until they escape through the window. They take the train home, and meet their Art teacher. Magna is embarrassed. The Art teacher (Guy) and his girlfriend give Ellie, Nadine and Magna a lift home. In the newspaper there is a article about the cancelled Claudie concert. Ellie and all her friends are grounded

girls out late

It only goes on for about 15 minutes (the first chapter) and the first chapter of a book is always the most boring so we don't know how the story I'd going g to turn out because the first bit of the book is boring and that's a the audio plays you're most probably going to think the book is boring even if it might have some spectacular feurtues which you don't know about
