Summary
Audiobook 3 of the Dark Imperium trilogy.
The destinies of primarch and Imperial Regent Roboute Guilliman and his traitorous brother Mortarion come together for the climactic battle of the Plague Wars.
Listen to It Because
It's the throwdown you've been waiting for, as Guilliman and Mortarion work out 10,000 years of pent-up resentment in a clash for the ages.
The Story
The paths of Roboute Guilliman and his fallen brother Mortarion bring them inexorably together on Iax. Once a jewel of the Imperium, the garden world is dying as the plans of the Lord of Death to use it as a fulcrum to drag the stellar realm of Ultramar into the warp come to deadly fruition.
While Guilliman attempts to prevent the destruction of his kingdom, Mortarion schemes to bring his brother low with the Godblight, a disease created in the Cauldron of Nurgle itself, made with the power to destroy a son of the Emperor.
Primarchs clash on the ravaged landscapes of Iax. The gods go to war and the wider galaxy balances on a knife-edge of destruction. As something powerful stirs in the sea of souls, only one thing is certain – no matter who wins the last great clash of the Plague War, the repercussions of victory will echo through eternity....
Written by Guy Haley. Narrated by John Banks.

very solid trilogy
very good trilogy from start to finish, but this one was my favourite. The voice acting on the Nugles' favourites was amazing.

Enjoyable
I enjoyed this book. I saw the other reviews saying it was a rush job because Guy Haley had so much to rewrite from the preceding books; I did not feel that to be so. The only stress I felt was in some decisions made by both primarchs in this story (both supposed peerless generals), however Haley does point out in the narrative that due to the nature of the warp, the seemingly sensible choice can be removed. Completely. Perhaps this should have been stressed more completely, that is my only criticism. My thanks to the author, good story.

Extreamly good book. I have not listened to too many, but I have listened to some other well known audiobooks.
Extreamly well made, super interesting characters, progressions, outcomes.
Great performance from the narrator as well

Fantastic and Game-Changing
A well-wriiten and entertaining book that gets the characterisation right.
Make sure that you pay attention and read between the lines. If you don't, the ending can seem to come out of left field.
Those final chapters set up a whole new paradigm for 40k.

Very Good end to an amazing trilogy
Godblight is an excellent book and very obviously written by my favourite author Guy Haley and narrated superbly by John Banks as always.
I must say, in comparison to the other two books God blight in my opinion is about on par with the 1st book ‘Dark imperium’ but the 2nd book plague war still holds its place as the best in the trilogy. This is not to say it is not an amazing book and it has left many doors open for more.

great resolution to the plague wars trilogy
Being a long time fan of the Games Workshop universe Guy Hayley is having a blast carving out his take on the ongoing 40k storyline.
This is a great story in its own right but sets up some interesting plot threads that hopefully future books will pick up on. One element in particular was an obvious consequence to recent events in the 40k universe that was so obvious but hadn't actually occurred to me and sent a little tingle down my spine at the implications...
The production and voice acting is also great.
