Moving and Entertaining
Loved it. A touching insight into the life of an RAF pilot with anecdotes that are beautifully written. Honest, critical, funny and tragic.
Great narrator!

Tears of happiness
This book is so adventurous, sad and happy at the same time. I was so blown away by the stories. My favourite part was when he got home. The adventures made me feel that I wished to be with him. This is my favourite book EVER!!

Fantastic!
This is my new favourite!
Dan Stevens calmly reads this enthralling and humble story which is more a series of stories therefore perfect for an audiobook. My husband loves the military element, whilst my daughter (8 yrs old) is enthralled by learning more about her favourite author.
Cannot recommend it enough!

Outstanding
I love how relaxing and interesting the book is. It tells you first hand about the Second World War and the experience that the Roald Dahl himself experienced. I highly recommend and you won't regret it
