Summary

She’s in love with a taken man who may or may not be the bad guy...and that’s not even the start of it.

Hannah is walking home from work when she unwittingly disturbs a gang in the middle of a delicate situation. Fearing for her life, she thinks that she is done for when she suddenly gets rescued by an unlikely savior - the gang leader’s brother.

She can’t tell if Duane is a bad boy with a good heart or a good guy with a mean streak, but either way, she can’t keep her eyes off him. The problem is he’s engaged to be married.

Will that be enough for Hannah to keep her distance, or are they destined to be together? She isn’t sure if he has the hots for her or if he’s just being a gentleman, but she’s going to make it her mission to find out.

A quick read.

This story has a promising storyline with a lot of potential but it was much too short.

Good but Short

The story was the typical meet and rescue, will I ever see him again, God I must be dreaming thing. Guy comes back, saves girl again only to tell her she's still in danger because of who guy is. She still falls in love with him. Learns they have a friend in common she didn't know about who's been protecting her as well and the fact that he's rich and has skeletons in his closet. Is she safer on her own? We might not know as her heart brings her back to him and the story let's off there. I wouldn't mind to see what happens next, I just would have liked to see it be a little bit longer.

I believe this narrator is new to me but she did good.

Not worth the time to listen

I'm sorry, I know different people have different tastes, but I really don't understand the star ratings for this and I'm usually quite forgiving and generous in my reviews.
The storyline was very short, no depth of characters development and no feeling of emotion. It wasn't a great storyline but did have potential and could have been developed into something good.
The narration sounded like a disjointed automated message, in a monotone with no feeling. To be honest the terrible narration might have made the book worse to listen to than reading it.
