About this listen
Though often classified a children's book, Good Wives, with its lifelike characters and situations, has entertained millions of adults. The delightful adventures of the March children still possess great power to inspire listeners.

Lovely to read the second book in the Little Women Series
This second book in the Little women series did not have the wonderful originality and amount of good fun and frolics as the first ‘Little Women’ book, as the girls are no longer girls, but indeed women! However I have still given it four stars as it was really lovely to listen to the girls stories of how they met their husbands in much detail, and to enjoy the excitement as if you were there with them.
Through the actions of all the adult characters, Louisa May Alcott demonstrates some fantastic ideas for raising and educating children, which I feel we could greatly benefit from implementing in today’s society, both in our homes and in education!
I am very much looking forward to reading the next book in the series, ‘Little Men’, and I intend to read all four books in the series.

You may have to skip it...
If you've read the original version of 'Little Women' then this is a great follow on but not necessarily true to the title exceeded in Meg's case. there's no point in reading this book if you've read the more recent copies of 'Little Women' as it begins with Meg's wedding and ends where the first book does. I was expecting an expansion on the girls married lives as the title suggests, but instead the book simply repeats what we already know. A poor serial in either case.
