Defenetly no childrens book
After the first book was good, I listened to this right away and was not disappointed. The Story was even better (more depth and suspenstion) and I am looking forward to the third part. But I don't understand how this could be called a childrens book? War, fighting, dead people (or animals)....

Giant Cockroaches, Bats and Rats, Oh My!
What did you love best about Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane?
As the second book in this series the reader doesn't get bogged down with info from the first book but enough to follow the story. I love the fantasy land of the Underworld and Gregor's relationship with those who live there.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Gregor was my favorite character because he would be brave but also remind you that he is still just a young teenager.
Which character – as performed by Paul Boehmer – was your favorite?
Gregor, but I loved how he performed Boots.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I couldn't stop listening to it. I had it on while cooking, cleaning and in bed!
Any additional comments?
Can't wait to hear the next book in the series.

Not the hunger games, but great book!
Good book, lighter and more relaxed than the hunger game. Still a home run for Suzanne Collins. Not quite what I expected but good none the less. I believe it was written for a younger audience, but still a great book for young and old alike! I manages to make you think as all Suzanne Collins books do. Try it you'll like it!

Very unexpected
Would you listen to Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane again? Why?
I would certainly listen to Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane again. I have to say that the first book didn't make me eager to know what would happen to Boots and Gregor, but since it was a Suzanne Collins book, I thought I might, and I don't regret it. This book is fool of twists, turns, and suspense. Now, this one made me eager to dive into the next one, and it made me cry at least 3 times.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane?
Spoiler alert: When all hope had been lost about Boots, despair took place. But the princess got brought back to the warrior.
What does Paul Boehmer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I just loved his narration of Boots. So intense and real - just how little toddlers can be.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, but I cried more than I laughed.

Fantastic Book and Series
What made the experience of listening to Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane the most enjoyable?
I have enjoyed both the first and second Gregor the Overlander book with my 8.5 y/o daughter. The story is something both adults and children will enjoy. The story is captivating and moves quickly and leaves you curious for the next chapter and then book. Paul Boehmer does a fantastic job narrating.

Another Great Story
I loved the 2nd book in the Gregor series, so much so ... I listened to it again! The perfect adventure! The perfect escape from this world.we know, even if not by choice. ...mixed with the complexity of loving being away, but missing those who care. I think it is great for any age, especially those who like things to end well.

good second book
I liked the story as it expanded the relationship between Gregor and Luxa in subtile ways. Introduced both interested and obnoxious characters. Brings more into the focus the ingrained prejudice the inhabitants of the Underland have for each other. And how that cost lives. The twist near the end of who the Bane is, is a good, but not a surprise. Nor is Gregor's decision on the Bane as his character was well developed by author over first and this book. IMHO
