About this listen
I never thought I’d be half of a crime-solving duo...working with a famous talking cat.
Country legend Benson Bridges is missing a rare guitar that he’s used to write four decades' worth of hit songs. Duke, his old hound dog, is the only one who witnessed the crime.
That’s where Persephone and I come in.
Now we’re on our way to Nashville to find the guitar. I’m a little - make that a lot - nervous about calling myself a professional crime solver. Included in my list of suspects are an obsessed fan, a hotshot singer looking to blaze his own path, and a disgruntled ex-nanny. But this unlikely crew might turn out to be my secret weapons.
Because Duke doesn’t like newcomers so much. He’s set in his ways, just like his human dad. Persephone and I think the old hound might be protecting the thief.
Losing the guitar could end Benson’s career, but finding it might cost him so much more....

Fun cozy mystery!
I really enjoyed this first book I've had the pleasure of listening to by Baily Booth. It was fun with amusing banter between Addie, the human, and Persephone, that cat. I really found the mystery part of it (who stole country star, Benson's, guitar?) also quite well done and intriguing. The narration by Jillian Yetter was really well done overall although Persephone sounded like an elderly woman. Overall, a really well done fun story that takes you away to an amusing new world. I have to admit that, having started in the middle of the series, I felt like i was a little more lost in some of the details than I would be as someone who had started in the beginning of the series. But it gives me the opportunity to start from the beginning!

cosy
Jillian Yetter did a wonderful job of narration, perfect for this great cosy mystery.
I have to say I have never listen to a mystery book with the is a heroes talking cat and loved it. It was fun to follow Addie and Persephone in their investigation to found the missing rare guitar.
Addie is the only one that can understand her cat Persephone.

Cute Cozy Mystery
This is a cute cozy mystery and is technically a stand alone. It's listed as the first in the series and I couldn't find any previous books by this author, but it most definitely felt like it was not the beginning of the story/series. There were a lot of references to additional characters and life changing events that happened prior to the start of this book.
It was still a cute and enjoyable book. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was excellent. I would definitely listen to more audiobooks by Jillian Yetter.

Funny
This book had me laughing out loud in several places. The storyline is good and the characters are likeable and humorous. The dynamic between the main characters is unique. A great performance from Jillian.
