About this listen
For 10 years, the noblewoman Seriana lived in exile, believing her husband Karon was dead, executed for practicing sorcery. But now she learns his soul has been anchored to this world by magic. He has been restored to life-though his memories of Seri are gone. When Seri's nephew is kidnapped - and a dark family secret comes to light - the two strangers will have to join together to defeat the evil Lords of Zhev'Na, who want to destroy both this world and the parallel magic realm that lies beyond.

Narrator Error :-{
Another book ruined by poor choice of narrators. Angele Masters and Jeremy Arthur are fine. I have listened to other books narrated by Jeremy Arthur, and so I know that any book he narrates will be well done. Indeed the first book in this series, (Son of Avonar) was read solely by Angele Masters, and I enjoyed it very much. Perhaps if Ms Masters had narrated the rest of the series solo, I would have been much happier. But Gregory St John and Daniel May were in my opinion dreadful. If this had been left to Ms Master and Mr Arthur, it would have been a winner. Unfortunately its another series (I note with annoyance that Mr St John and Mr May are involved with other books in the series) spoiled by bad narrators.
