Intro To Meditation By Headspace Guy

It's free, it's proven to work form many people, it's delivered in a fairly calm manner.

Could be leaner if the concrete science was skimmed off and it was more metaphorical and abstract.
That being said, some people remember things better when they anchor information to facts.

If you are still interested in meditation I highly recommend Mingyur Rinpoche or Thich Nhat Hanh.
They have audiobooks on here but also have plenty of free meditation and anxiety content on YouTube.

Proven to work…

…But not earth shattering. It felt like there was nothing particularly new here but maybe that’s the point. The steps are simple and logical IF (and it is a big if) you are of a mind to help yourself change for the better

I am happy to say that I don’t suffer hugely from anxiety myself (other than the usual life anxieties) but I listened to this as I have a couple of family members and friends who really do. I thought if I listened to it I might gain the odd nugget for my own life and might have something useful to impart to them, or suggest they read the book. The trouble is the people I have in mind are so stuck there is no way they would read the book, let alone act on it, which is a shame because if you have anxiety and if you fully commit to each of the 10 steps, I can see that you can’t really fail to feel better and live a better life
