About this listen

Danica Rawlins

She’s a career woman, constantly busy, under pressure, and in demand. But the job that once seemed like a dream to her now feels more like a nightmare.

When the stress gets too much, she escapes the office and drives, discovering beauty in the wide-open spaces that surround her in the country. Leaving the worries behind, if only temporarily.
The last thing she expected to find was him.

Noah Edwards

He left the big city behind him long ago and forged a different path. One of earth and sky instead of steel and smog. Acres of plants instead of thousands of people.
The day she stumbled into his life, everything changed.
He saw his former life in her.
And when he looked in her eyes, he saw his future.
He was determined to save her.
Show her a life she never dreamed existed - and a love that would enrich them both.

Loved it!!!

This is one of my favorite series I’ve ever read. I love finding a story with an instant connection. One thing about the series is that the drama doesn’t feel overly dramatic. It just feels like real life and totally relatable. The growth of the love from the MCs feels true. And even with the events on the story I can’t help but fall in love with them myself. There were 2 epilogues and that just gives me the warm and fuzzies. I will definitely be listening to this again. I think the narrators did a great job!

I should note that I was given a free promo code in a group on Facebook. I was actually given it today and jumped at the chance to listen to this story! I couldn’t stop listening and finished it in the same day. This is still my honest review.

Uplifting story of healing and love

This was a low angst insta-love story with a very serious mental health issue, that was dealt with realistically. All the feels for this book, I never wanted it to end. Love Dani and Noah's relationship and the support they got from Noah's family was just endearing. Enjoyed the narration as well, wish John Lane had more parts though, Maxine Mitchell did an amazing job but I would have loved to get more from Noah's pov.

Food and love

Harvest of Love is book 5 in M Moreland's Insta-Sparks collection of standalone stories. They all deliver instant chemistry and a happy ever after in an enjoyable plot. They are fun, engaging reads with very little angst.
Book 5 doesn't let the collection or the listener down.
Noah & Dani meet (when she arrives) at his farm shop when (she needs at get away from her work) Dani escapes her office after a panic attack. Noah is the saviour Dani needs in her time of distress, one that she didn't realise was required. Noah sees past the persona Dani has created to the person she really is & helps her find herself. Noah has his own insight into what Dani is going through.
This is another beautiful story from Melanie Moreland. She handles a sensitive topic with grace while preserving the flow of the story. The choice of Maxine Mitchell & John Lane just made this an engaging listen. They bring real voices to Melanie's words, heightening the emotion and passion.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 Riveting & Heartwarming!

This fabulous story swept me in right from the start and it did not just grab and captivating my attention for the entire book, but it tugged on my heartstrings too. I am ashamed to say this but this is my first book written by Melanie Moreland, I have had several of her books on my ‘want to read/listen’ list and I am sorry it took me so long to listen to one of her books. She truly is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, her storylines are interesting and original and her characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they were easy to like and care about too. I adored the two lead characters, Danica “Dani” Rawlins and Noah Edwards. Dani is a career oriented business woman who works for a demanding boss in a high-stress job. The stress is taking a toll on her both mentally and physically, though she continues to ignore it and all the signs and pushes on. Having to get away from it all, she takes a drive away from the city and winds up getting lost in the country. Luckily she found a country side store, “The Harvest Table” to stop in to ask for directions. Noah runs “The Harvest Table” with his family, it is a farm to table type restaurant and market. He saw something in Dani that not only reminded him of who he used to be, but he also felt an attraction and connection to her. I just loved how everything played out in this book, Dani was at a crossroads in her life and Noah was the perfect person to have at her side as she found her way. This beautifully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions, some lighthearted and heavyhearted and a wonderful romance. Melanie Moreland, thank you for the wonderful story and the emotional rollercoaster ride, I am looking forward to checking out more of your books. Also, I loved the way you handled what Dani was going thru and for keeping it all real.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Maxine Mitchell and John Lane are talented narrators and voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit the character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Maxine Mitchell nailed it as Dani, capturing her every emotion and has you feeling every single one. John Lane did the same for Noah. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary character as well. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances the story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Enjoyable

Beautiful storyline and easy read/listen you’ve gotta love Noah crafting the perfect life for himself and being able to support Danni through her turmoil and life choices I would’ve liked her to be a stronger character even taking into consideration her tragic past and ongoing personal struggles nevertheless an enjoyable listen.

Engaging, emotional and captivating

I adored Harvest of Love when I read the e-book; The characters, the story, the emotion - it all culminated in a sweet yet sexy warm hug of a read. The audio version lived up to all my expectations from reading the book but left me feeling a deeper emotional connection to these wonderful characters.

This book is the fifth in M. Moreland’s Insta-Spark collection - a series of stand alone novels where you’re guaranteed sweetness alongside your HEA. Please don’t think that means these books are tame, though. There’s sex and foul language and all of that kind of good stuff to go along with the sweetness. And for those unaware, M. Moreland is another name used by author Melanie Moreland.

Dani is a tough business woman - VP of a big Toronto company. But, when the pressure gets to her, she finds herself far from the city and running straight into the arms of Noah. Dani is a hugely likeable and relatable character. You can see exactly why she’s gone far in her career - and also why she’s beginning to burn out. I imagine it was ridiculously hard to pull off a character who is having such a tough time as Dani was without having her come across as unsympathetic. But it was definitely pulled off. Dani never comes across as whiny or weak - exactly the opposite. I was rooting for her from beginning to end. She’s portrayed in the audio book by Maxine Mitchell and a superb job she does, too. She’s got a delightfully raspy voice which I 100% believed as Dani’s. She also injects emotion into her speech - clearly living the words rather than just reading them which really helped me feel the story.

Noah. Oh my lord, Noah. If he isn’t just the perfect hero. He’s kind, sweet, caring and head over heels for Dani from the first glimpse of her. Despite those descriptions, he still comes across as a big, strong, tough guy. And one that is all in with Dani and wants forever with her. While he wants her to live with him, he’s also willing to make compromises to be with her - so you always feel there’s an equal balance in their relationship. His part is read by John Lane - a sexier, deeper voice you’d be hard pressed to find. More of the story is told from Dani’s point of view, but when Noah’s voice is heard, it makes an impact. If you hadn’t guessed - I loved him!

The heat between Dani and Noah was delicious - I really felt their connection. As I said, this book is sweet as the pies that Dani makes, but it’s also wonderfully sexy and hot. The emotion is what makes this story, however. I felt it and I loved it.

This is not a complicated story but, for me, it packed a huge punch. It spoke to me, and brought out a lot of emotion as I saw myself in the characters - Dani especially. It really gave me a hopeful feeling and it made me happy - which is really what I want from a book. Whether you’ve read the book first, or just want to hear a great story on audio, then this is a book I’d happily recommend to you. It’s a nice length of 5 hours and 45 mins so you can get through it relatively quickly - and enjoy every minute of it. 5 stars.

The perfect insta-spark, swoony love story

Harvest of Love is book five in the insta-spark series. Each book in this series is a complete stand-alone that all have instant attraction, are filled with love and happiness and just a little angst that leads to the perfect HEA.
Danica (Dani) Rawlins is a very accomplished woman, she is the youngest person to ever make VP at her firm and in such a short period of time. However, it’s such a high stress job that has totally consumed her life leaving her with no time to make friends and as she has no family, she feels like the walls are closing in on her. When she finds herself struggling for breath one day, she flees the office, jumps in her car and drives until she’s lost in the country where she meets Noah at The Harvest Table, a family run organic farm, shop and restaurant. Noah recognises the panic and anxiety in Dani that was his reality just a few short years ago. There is an immediate spark between the two and the chemistry is off the charts, so much so that it keeps drawing Dani and Noah to one another like moths to a flame.
Noah Edwards escaped the corporate rat race and the hustle and bustle of the city not so long ago and after a breakdown, ended up back in the country in the arms of his family. Noah runs The Harvest Table, an organic farm shop with an adjoining farm to table restaurant alongside his brother, sister and Mum. One day a beautiful stranger with the weight of the world on her shoulders pulls into the car park and Noah instantly goes into protective mode. He helps her shop, feeds her and Dani can’t resist coming back for more as Noah is the perfect guy, kind, caring, loving and family oriented and is a total alpha between the sheets.
The pair bond fast and are kindred spirits. It was beautiful to see the way Noah’s family embrace Dani and fell just as fast for her as he did, there is room for everyone at The Harvest Table.
Noah and Dani are brought to life by the amazingly talented John Lane and Maxine Mitchell. Mr Lane’s deep, sexy, raspy voice was perfect to bring Noah to life. He portrayed the kind, caring, loveable farmer with the perfect mix of swoony alpha sprinkled in incredibly.
Ms Mitchell’s sweet, sexy, sultry voice brought Dani to life in the most perfect way. Maxine truly is phenomenal at wringing every ounce of emotion from not only the characters she portrays but us readers too with her stellar performances and Harvest of Love is another success Maxine can add to her long list of achievements.
This book was everything, I couldn’t have loved it more! A truly breath-taking insta-spark love story with a wonderful ending and a stunning epilogue. If you need a break or are just looking for a quick escape, you will absolutely find it in this fabulous book.

Love this sweet and swoony story

Harvest of Love on audiobook is wonderful!!
It is part of the Insta-Spark collection of stories, a standalone with the theme of an instant love connection.

Dani Rawlins has moved up fast and is now a VP in her high pressure job. She has the career that she had always dreamed of but struggles to find time for herself.

Noah Edwards tried the career route and found it lacking. He now helps run a family owned farm to table business.

“I hadn’t planned on Noah. I’d never expected to meet anyone and have such a fast connection with them.”

I loved this sweet and swoony story. Noah sees Dani for who she is and recognizes what she is going through. The story was not all hearts and flowers but dealt with real life issues in a compassionate way.
I reread this story on audiobook and loved the narration! It was a pleasure to listen to!!
