Good story oddly narrated
Having listened to dozens of books on audible you get used to a certain type of narrator telling a certain type of story. Although this story has adult themes it appeared to be narrated by somebody as if it was a young persons book- I had to check to see it it was in a YA series. I enjoyed the tale enormously but the narration was sometimes at odds with the theme.

Sad story set in a beautiful background very well written.
I loved the entanglement between the families and Maud a probable scapegoat with sadness of her own. Maybe we’ll get more about her in future books?

Amazing writing with twists
I rate this mostly a 4 star due to the twist and turns in the story. If your looking for a thriller/ crime I would recommend

Not their best…
Regrettably I had to give up because I found the narration irritating. I couldn’t get into the characters or the story because of their unintentionally comic voices.

Pretty overrated
Awful narrator! The book itself is predictable, dreary and formulaic. Only good thing about is Maud who come in much too late.

Relatable characters and intriguing plot

Good storytelling, I couldn’t stop listening
Believable characters, great storyline, enough intrigue to keep you guessing.
I struggled with the narration at first, a little stilted I thought, however the story had me hooked and I still really enjoyed it

Really enjoyed this story.
Good story, I'm from Suffolk so I loved the description of the landscape. The narration was brilliant and I really enjoyed the story.
