Aiden Varik has had two great loves in his very long life.
And he lost them both too soon.

Temptation never tasted so sweet.
Can Aiden find the strength to risk his heart yet again - especially when this man is accompanied by Aiden’s enemies?

Healing old wounds
Vampires heal quickly, except when it concerns the heart. Losing a loved one can take centuries to heal. On the night Aiden was turned he lost his prince and for decades lived only for revenge. Then he found a second love in Juliana and her family but could only enjoy their time for a short time. Now he finds himself given another opportunity. But can his fragile heart take the risk? Because he couldn't survive another loss. Besides the matters of the heart there is also the thread from the European Council who want to see the Variks dead and with the help from a clan in the Americas who is willing to help them they might succeed in that. But fighting the Variks and their allies is as sentencing your own death. I'm so glad the author agreed to write Aiden's story. It is the perfect ending to this amazing series. It's narrated perfectly with a voice for Ronan to die for. This created family is so loveable.

Perfect ending to this story
I’ve loved this series from the start. In this last book Aiden finds his long lost love and the Varik-family is complete in a true HEA after a long road and time of threats and doubts.
Kale Williams has done a great job bringing all the vampires and other creatures to life!

Unexpected Gem
📚 The emotional connection between Aiden | Ronan was quickly and convincingly set up in the prologue. I liked these men. I adored they were emotionally mature. I loved that they were unashamedly expressive. Reading Healing Aiden as a standalone, I appreciated that I missed out on the world-building because what was presented here felt slight but l joyfully whooped at the vampiric gift reveals. I docked a star for the story though: the contrived, cringey family gatherings with Aiden’s sons felt like a fan service sledgehammer. Please do not expect deep characterisation or a convincing plot but do expect a straightforward, low angst and quite the erotic romance of two nice men. Healing Aiden was simply executed. It worked.
🎧 There wasn’t a false note in Kale Williams’ performance. His Aiden | Ronan portrayal in the prologue sold their emotional bond as Mr. Williams fed power into their dialogue and oh, it was so good! Aiden and Ronan had similar speech patterns with a breathy husk and pitch drop at the end of sentences – it made them sound older than the rest of the characters – but Aiden's American accent contrasted with Ronan’s English. I enjoyed what the narrator didn’t do with the villains viz. no outrageous snarls or cartoony smarm and those bass notes for Marcus and Winter were divine! Kale's controlled pacing conveyed the MCs were cool men who kept their heads; the vibe was restrained reflecting the MCs control of self and their immense power; and their dialogue was delivered as sincerely as the MCs obviously were – even the OTT ‘my prince’ and ‘my king’ endearments. Kale was perfect for this.
