But first, understand your childhood issues
This audiobook takes the listener on a path towards identifying, understanding and overcoming trauma and baggage from their childhood. Stated simply, if a person had held on to psychological scars from their younger years, that will have a direct reflection on issues as an adult. By overcoming this trauma, you could move on and become less burdened. I really enjoyed the portion of the book which dealt with setting boundaries. Be it with friends or work, too many people run into problems just because they can't be honest with themselves and others. Listen to this audiobook to help overcome nagging issues.

Understanding so you can heal
This book was eye opening for me. I think most of my life I just put on a happy face and keep pretending I am ok. In this book it goes into detail how to see what trauma we carry and what we can do to form positive behaviors as we heal and release the pain from our childhood, and how that can transform how we feel and live in our adult lives. The part of establishing boundaries definitely stood out to me. I have always struggled with this and being a pleaser to others. I felt this book empowered me to see that it is in fact healthy and good for me to listen to my feelings and be able to say no. Enjoyed the read.

A Journey Back to Self-Healing
As a dad, this audiobook hit close to home. It dives deep into healing those hidden emotional wounds many of us carry from childhood. I really appreciated the gentle approach Archer Miles takes when exploring how past experiences shape our present-day reactions. My favorite chapter was the one on self-compassion—it really brought home the importance of being kind to ourselves, especially when parenting. The practical exercises made it easy to follow along, even with a busy schedule. This book is perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with their inner child or seeking emotional healing. Whether you're a parent or just someone navigating personal growth, it offers a refreshing perspective on inner peace.
