Summary

The Monster & The Assassin
Once again I loved the narrators! Both have clear wonderful voices though I have to listen to them at nearly 2x which is fast for me! The story was quick paced and I liked both of our MC! The trope list was practically all of my favorite things!! Titus and Rae started as enemies with benefits but of course it turned into so much more!!!!
One tiny issue was that even though they are interconnected standalone books this one had me a little lost by not reading book 3! I read 1 &2, but 3 was about addiction & I didn’t want to read that one. But after I got a little more into the story it was fine and stood on its own!
I can’t wait for the next couple!!

Heart of Crimson
The story felt a bit awkward and difficult to get into initially. The story and the characters were good and flowed along ok. The narrators did a good job in adding more to the continuity of the story with their inflections.

Loved the dual narration of Lilly Drake and DB West
Titus is struggling with his beast and the black magic polluting his body when he learns he has a contract on his head. Rae is fighting for her freedom and the only way to gain it is to become a contract killer. When the two paths cross one must die for the other to live. Forced to work together in order to stay alive. The chemistry between the two is of the charts.

This series has really taken me for a ride. This book was slow to start but picked up speed nicely. The characters were great, and it was a fun book to read.
