About this listen

As undead hordes roam the frozen landscape, a lone man hunts an even deadlier foe, in this gritty horror thriller.

A serial killer stalks the ice-glazed streets. Half-frozen deadheads choke the avenues. Infected vermin rise from the labyrinth of sewer systems, hungry for warm flesh. And a handful of survivors struggle to escape and find safety in a world overrun with zombies.

In his hunt for the monster known as Tenner, Scott must contend with all of this and more—before things get even worse. Welcome to Hellifax.

Pretty Good!

After book 2 which I found to be pretty poor I was undecided if I should go for Halifax. In the end Im glad I did. Its not that book 2 did not have its good parts, but it was the constant repitition that at times made it unbearable. Some editing would make it a much better book. This book, Halifax,, thankfully suffered less from repitition but could have still done with some more editing to cut out some of the dead wood. Having said that its a good story that rolls along at a pace, with some very good characterisation.

Fair book but Main hero Bit too Whimsy

What did you like most about Hellifax?

It was a good book but seriously hated how author kept explaining why the main hero 'Scott' is allowed to be a whimp.....

If you’ve listened to books by Keith C. Blackmore before, how does this one compare?

it was ok

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no

Any additional comments?

Mountain man without Gus...... shame really, the book was good but you will not really support the main hero, infact he is annoying but Vic and Amy are the real characters in the book :) Shame Scott was not killed off early in the book so you could join in better with the rest of real characters :)

Is it just me or do these books keep getting better, the author is fantastic at detailing the zombie apocalypse.

Scott

This installment follows Scott, after his departure from Gus and his new lady friend up at the mountain retreat, to take care of some unfinished business (Tanner).

Brilliant writing and story development, and some superb new characters. I got into the series from the free short story The Hospital, and ever since each book has been better than the last. Looking forward to book 4 which has the highest rating, too!

Good job Mr.Blackmore
