About this listen
Could she get it done?
In the wilds of Africa, all hell was breaking loose. There were riots and massacres, and in the middle of it all was one lone doctor determined to make a difference. Dr. Carys Adams was intent on saving a young mother's life, even if it meant operating in the worst possible conditions. It was going to take a miracle to save the newborn baby and keep the young mother alive. How was she going to get this little family transported to the hospital three days away?
Can he get them to safety in time?
Navy SEAL Cullen Lyons knew the moment he saw this stubborn, selfless woman treating her patients in a war zone, getting them to safety was going to take everything he had. When he convinced her the only way to safety was a dangerous journey through the hazards of Africa, he found out she was specifically targeted by the brutal rebels, which added a cherry on top. Will he be able to get Carys' patients to help before time runs out? Will he be able to keep Carys out of the hands of the rebels?"

A Wonderful, Action Packed Navy Seal Romance
If you are a fan of Caitlyn O'Leary's books, you may recognise Dr Carys Adams from another book in a difference series. My goodness, that woman seems to attract trouble! Here she is again, near Khartoum, with Medecins San Frontieres again and she needs the help of Navy Seals to get save her and get her, and her chargers, out of there. This book is go-go-GO from start to almost the end. She has an instant connection to Cullen and he becomes her personal guard committed to getting her to safety. They work well together though there were many touch and go moments to contend with.
I really enjoyed listening to this book but I did struggle with one thing. The book is fast paced, most of it happening in a matter of a few days with our characters on the run. It is the transition from Navy Seal and Doctor in a war torn country to man and woman in a budding relationship that I struggled with. Carys has been through a lot, with two close encounters with the bad-guy kinds. I feel her experiences post-trauma deserved a little more attention. However, that said, all the pieces are in place and she does get her happily ever after. Thank goodness. She totally deserved it!
I always enjoy Ms. O'Leary's books. They are always entertaining and energetic with intense characters in intense situations. She knows just how to weave together humour, sexual tension and action to create a perfect moment of escapism. This book is no exception. I really enjoyed it!
