About this listen
'We're going to be fine.'
He looks around, but there's nothing out here: nothing but the bottomless black universe on their left, the Earth suspended in glorious Technicolor to their right.
Carys and Max have 90 minutes of air left.
None of this was supposed to happen.
But perhaps this doesn't need to be the end....
Adrift in space with nothing to hold on to but each other, Carys and Max can't help but look back at the well-ordered world they have left behind - at the rules they couldn't reconcile themselves to and a life to which they might now never return.
For in a world where love is banned, what happens when you find it?
Hold Back the Stars is a love story like no other.

I couldn't stop listening!
Fantastic story that you just can't put down / stop listening to. I built a strong connection with the two main characters and felt like I was experiencing their journey with them. Buy this book!

Tells us how wonderful love can be
I was very touched by this story of Cerys and Max, two ordinary young people living in the not too distant future who through extraordinary circumstances find themselves tumbling through space and fighting against hopeless odds for survival. This may sound like a one trick pony but the story of their love affair told through past reflections is the thing that keeps you on the edge of your seat, and rooting for these two very believable and not always perfect characters.
Please please don't be tempted to skip to the end to find out what happens, because you will simply miss the point of this lovely and very thought provoking book. Gemma Whelan reads this perfectly and I know I will listen to this again once I have had a chance to recover from this very emotional journey.

Adding the space setting doesn't stop this being chick lit
Rather dull. I thought the story sounded interesting, but it's basically the same old stuff set in the future and floating in space. Yawn.
