The tales of a Repatriation Doctor.

The cover of this book put me off and the title suggested chick lit, so I did not bother looking at the summary.

However a little while later something pricked my conscience to look again,
So I read the summary, it sounded good, I listened to the sample, (I do this all the time now after some awful narrator experiences) sounded good. So bought in the £3 sale and so pleased I did. .

This is a selection of various trips made by Dr Ben McFarlane, to repatriate British subjects after some medical catastrophe in different countries around the world..

His observations of medical facilities in different countries are excellently noted. As well as his perception of his patient and their immediate family in the aftermath of a medical accident/incident.

His account of his patients medically problems and other incidents on their journeys home are well documented keeping it interesting, funny and sometimes edge if your seat stuff, whilst he is never judgemental.

Dr Ben, talks personally about his life and why he does the job, so consequently comes across as such a nice chap.

I only hope that if you should get into a medical scenario that requires you to be flown back to the UK to continue your treatment, that Dr McFarlane is there for your repatriation.

Highly recommend, especially if you like a medical book.

Great funny book, it’s very insightful and easy listening. It can be a little graphic at times, if you like your funny medical books, this is a must!

An absolutely fantastic book read beautifully!

The narrator really sells how amazing this book is, he really puts his heart into it but as for the book - I cried, I laughed out loud, I tutted, I sighed, I felt. This book made me feel so many many feelings and I love it. I will remember it for a long time to come. A must read.
