Honest

I can imagine this was difficult to write, he was really cracking himself open to the world sharing his own story which is very admirable and I think is difficult to do in Irish culture, very interesting and motivational for people to take control of their own life story

Excellent book, one I'll always come back too.

I heard Richard promoting this on the radio and I'm very thankful to have caught it. For anyone that's grown up in a troubled home and find yourself questioning as to why you may have certain traits, make decisions to later regret or in a spiral of negative self talk, as in me. This will be invaluable, attachment types, love languages, I'm finally starting to understand myself better. It's left me with the best set of tools to move forward, more than I've gained from many books I've sought before.

Very good “ down to earth “ help.

This book is deceptively simple. Therapy always has homework and if you’re brave to do the work you’ll get results. Hogan’s reading in his native Cork accent adds to the healing experience.

Excellent

Heard the author (Richard Hogan) on Brendan O’Connor radio show and thought the book sounded very interesting so was delighted to find it on audible.

I relented to every part of this book and think many people will. It is an essential read/listen for those of us who grew up in an the chaos of an alcoholic home determined to break the cycle. It certainly gave me a new perspective.
