Major Hastings and Hercule Poirot are not interested in the case of the Spanish Chest, so obviously has it been reported in the papers that it seems an entirely closed book. But, when Hastings persuades Poirot to attend a rather fabulous party given by Lady Chatterton, there is someone sequestered upstairs waiting for the pair’s help. She’s so sure that there has been some great mistake and is desperate for their help. Will the contents of the dead man’s pockets reveal to the inscrutable eye of Hercule Poirot who the culprit is?

Story
A classic Agatha Christie short story, available individually for the first time in digital audio, performed by Christopher Lee. A loving nephew installs a radio in his elderly aunt's house to distract her from her deteriorating health. Through the wireless she hears a voice encouraging her to be ready for her approaching death. The voice calls himself Patrick, her husband. But he has been dead for 25 years....
Summary
A classic collection of Agatha Christie short stories, taken from Poirot's Early Cases and read by David Suchet.
David Suchet, Poirot to perfection, returns with five further short stories taken from the collection entitled Poirot's Early Cases.
The short stories included in this audiobook are:
- 'The Plymouth Express'
- 'The Submarine Plans'
- 'Problem at Sea'
- 'How Does Your Garden Grow?'
- 'The Market Basing Mystery'
Each story is entirely self-contained and shows all the essential Poirot qualities. Again we find Poirot's maxim - 'one must seek the truth from within, not without' - proves highly efficient in his pursuit of the truth.

Same as another book
These are great, well delivered stories, however they are exactly the same as Poirot's Early Cases. I therefore have just duplicated a book that just has a different title page. Very disapointed.
