Really horrible narrator

The narrator's constant intonation is awful.
He confused reading the book with being an actor in a movie.
This book is only 1h 30m long but it's really hard to go through that time because of the narrator.
In the book there are a lot of buddhist mumbo jumbo based of thin air, which can irritate educated people or with some psychology knowledge. In general the book is very chaotic, without proper order, a lot of talking to say a simple thing - very typical for this kind of books.
I don't recommend the book because many other better alternatives out there.
I recommend " Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World" to avoid all that bs.
The concept of mindfulness in theory is very simple - it is just watching with acceptance and without reacting, opinion, thinking etc You are just watching what is happening in the now.

Very useful

Short and concise, very good work introduction to mindfulness especially the last few chapters on the 16 steps of breathing

One of the few books that have had a lasting impression on me.

If you are looking for spiritual or psychological guidance into how to live your life more fully and with greater happiness then this wonderful book is full of empowering insights and exercises to get you there. Thich Nhat Hann shows us in plain speaking how we can cultivate greater wellbeing in our daily lives, his teachings have the potential to have positive effects on all of us.
